Default Not my 370z, but video of the race start this weekend at NHMS

I know, I know, not a Z video, but I wanted to share an in-car video of my race this weekend. It was the opening race of the year at NH Motor Speedway, and it had an exciting start. I ended up with the pole, and finishing first. Anyone ever in the NH area and want to attend, let me know.

Very cool! Close call there at the end!!!

My experience with Spec Racer Fords is limited to iRacing, which is enough to let me know that they are hella fun to drive!

It is definately fun, been running them for 10 years, and they can be done affordably, if you are clean. If you want to race, join SCCA, and enter a driver's school.

I chose Spec Racer Fords for various reasons: easy maintenance, over 800 of them in the US, will always have someone to race against, comes down to driver vs money, cars hold their value, extremely safe.

I tried the SRF in iRacing and it was interesting. The iRacing crew own a SRF and brought a simulator to one of the weekends and it was pretty cool.

Yeah, I probably need to change that, as I just got a new paint job, so the car looks completely different.

I am looking into SCCA, I have lots of plans to eventually turn my car into a barely street, track car. Similar to TravisJb but not quite as hard core on body work. That is so sweet. I am getting my license for the track that is 30 miles from town next month so I can't wait to hit the track.

To start basic, there is a class that has very, very limited mods, and will get you on the track to make sure you like wheel to wheel action - some try it and say it's not for them. That class is T2 - a very streetable car can do that.

Where do you race except for the above. I was looking for a good drivers school, but didn't come up with much yet...

Limerock Park - Conn.
Pocono
Watkins Glen

^ these are where I race. Most SCCA schools are at the beginning of the year. There is a driver's school at Limerock on June 18th (last of the SCCA schools in the local area). See NESCCA.com for the full calendar.

Where in MA are you and what are you looking to do?

Southern Mass and I was looking to build some more track experience/schooling just to see what I like...

Let me go and check that website...
