Default Need Help! 370z will not start / car is possessed

Yesterday I had my 2 month old 370z's windshield replaced due to a rock that cracked it. When I got home after the job was done, I noticed there was a smell from the glue that was used, so I decided to put the windows down in the garage. (also seem to remember locking the car with the remote, even though windows were down)

Later that night, 5-6 hours later... I went to the garage just to check on car. (I may or may not have hit the unlock button on the remote) What I saw freaked me out. The car was going crazy. The driver's side headlight was strobing, other lights were flickering... the car was making odd sounds like it was trying to do something. The rear tail lights were also blinking. The headlight strobe would start and stop on its own, at different speeds. The interior dash lights were blinking in succession. I had no idea what was going on. Hitting the Start button, stepping on brakes, etc. wasn't seeming to help. I could not start the car either. I finally got the car to stop going crazy and thought I would try to start it again. It tries to start but makes a really loud and fast clicking sound. The interior lights come on and the Nav boots up, but then it stops, unable to turn over.

Any ideas? I'm at a loss? I suspect dead battery, but I was able to move the windows and as I said, the Nav and interior lights are coming on. It just won't turn over.

I would really appreciate any advice/suggestions you can give. I'm debating trying to jump it. (jump a 2 month old car, nice) I have no way to get to work tomorrow.

Jump start or charge your battery again. It doesn't have enough juice to start the car. When the car was acting crazy, it drained most the battery.

Question is, why was it acting crazy in the first place? I will try a jump today.

I can't answer that. I had this happened to me once, but not with the Z. My remote was running out of battery, and I was within distance it triggered the alarm in my car.

Hook 'er up to an electronics diagnostics device (diagnostics computer). The ECU may need resetting. Good luck, dude! Oh, and keep us posted on the issue, so WE don't make the same mistake, please!

So far, no luck with a jump start. Battery is reading really low, like 8 volts. I have it hooked up to a charger right now but the indicator has not moved in the last 2 hours. Not convinced it's charging.

Sounds like you've got a dead cell or two.

That could be what caused all the comotion.
I had a battery "die" like that in a Honda Accord.
The car freaked out because the computers weren't getting enough power to keep up with all the functions.
A new battery may solve your issues. It did mine with the Accord.

I hooked the car up to a 12v charger for several hours. I gave it a try and it started right up like nothing was ever wrong with it. I took it for a 15min drive and all seemed good. I'm going to keep it charging over night just in case... but none of this explains the "freak out". I'm hoping I left a light on and that's what drained it and freaked it out. If not, then it could be a bad battery, as was mentioned in the above post. I'll take it to Nissan tomorrow and explain to them what happened. Maybe I can get them to give me a new battery. The car is only 2 months old!

If your battery was discharged that much it can take as much as 20hrs to charge on a regular 2-3A charger.

Hope your car is ok.

Doesn't the 370Z have some power saving feature? Like if you accidentally leave something on it shuts down after a certain period of inactivity.
