09 C6 Vette Automatic

let me see. 400hp c6 lapped vir at 2.13 or 2.14. 287hp 350z lapped it at 2.17 or 2.18. they had same driver and same tires and were all stock.

A lot of car for the money also describes the Vette.

If the vette had a nicer interior I wouldn't be driving the Z... lol.

But quality of material used is what keeps that car to play with big boys. Otherwise, that car should be in different legue.

I never said I was faster. Simply asked for an honest opinion. I got some mature opinions and some people saying I'm stupid for asking. I wouldn't have had to ask if he would have simply shut my mouth by running me.

Srry to burst your bubby but even the LS2 Vettes will destroy us...The reason it might not seem fast to you is because the gears are very long, but that ish is gaining mph like a mutha...I know my dad had a 06 Vert LS2 Z51 6M....And my cousin has an 08 Coupe LS3 Z51 6M. He has 430whp and 425trq (intake, full exhaust and tune) and let me tell you he took me for a ride and nailed it n second gear n let off half of 4th n we were doin 130 in the blink of an eye...It def is in another league....even if the ls3 is stock and we are bolt on we still would half no chance they dyno stock around 390rwph n almost same torque...MMM it would be nice to have an ls3 swap in our Z's....

A much better car to aspire to keep up with after mods would be an e92 m3 or a 911 carerra 2s. Ls1 vettes are slightly faster than us let alone two engine updates later.

If the Vette is an automatic its even less of a driver's race. Face it C6 Vette's are fast cars. And they should be with the horsepower and torque advantage they have over the 370Z. And the C6 weighs about 100lbs less too.

Before I purchased my 370Z I had a 2006 Z51 C6 with an intake, headers, cats, exhaust and a tune. It was fast, but I didn't enjoy driving it as much as I do my 370Z or for that matter my 350Z. The interior of the C6 is not very nice (and I had a 3LT), especially the seats, the steering is vague and the car shifts more like a truck than a sports car. The C6 is a great bang for the buck, but it's not the driver's car that the 370Z is in my opinion.

Your friend is right.
You have no chance in hell even with full boltons and a tune.
You have to go forced induction to beat a vette.
Vette's are way underated.

LOL... I love all of these responses... I'll bet PBPD never imagined getting railed so bad lol...

Anyway, I have to agree with most of the response...technically the vette should kill it. They pull so much harder at higher speeds than ours.... the person who said they got spanked from like 80-???, I definitely believe it. That being said......

I was messin with this "older" guy one day on a couple of different roads. We finally got to a light and he waved me up and said, "lets see what ya got"... well he "forgot to turn off his traction control" so I spanked him off the line, cause he just kept slippin and trac kicked in. But after close to a quarter mile his was making some crazy progress on me. It was close, I can't say either way who got it, but yea, better just hope he forgets the traction control or something...

Seems like it would be a fun thing to "settle" though. Can't believe you haven't done it/talked him into it by now.

LMAO! Hell yeah, I got railed!!! I asked for it though...I guess! It's funny you mentioned the traction control screw up because my friend asked me the other day if he should turn it off or not when he runs people. I should have told him no. He really doesn't know squat about any car much less his own. He still won't run me though. And he's asking other friends of ours whether or not he can beat me so I think he is legitimately afraid of losing. Based on the responses I got here, he has nothing at all to worry about but I guess i have bluffed him well enough to where he won't do it. Who knows, at this point, I don't even care anymore. I'll run anybody with anything. I just enjoy having a good time with my car. If I lose to a V-8, so what. Thats what should happen. If I win, then I guess the V-8/owner of that car should go back to the drawing board.
