For tire size what Brendan said is pretty spot on. For actual brand and tire model last I knew the RE-71R and Rival S's were the hot tires to have. Both had their pro's and con's but either one could be competitive. Best bet is to ask around within the autox community and not just Z owners.

Or for even more fun jump up to BSP and play on Hoosiers.

Thanks for the advice and confirmation! I’m pretty sold on the idea of squaring up on 285/35.

I’m somewhat a casual autoxer so not willing to make the commitment to get the car ready for BSP, at least for a few years. Do you know any good forums for autox?

Awesome thank you! I’m a member of the Steel Cities Region. I did four events last year. I intend on doing at least 7/10 events this upcoming year.

Toledo would be a nice drive from Pittsburgh along the turnpike and a change of pace! See if I can make it during the summer.
