If you have sport model and 19's, 285 35 19 square works really well. If you are on 18's you will want to run the 275 35 18 square. 275 40 18 is available in some of the less competitive tires and would keep your gearing and appearance closer to stock.

I had a lot of fun driving my car in BS for about 3 seasons.

Thanks for the reply. I’m running the sport 19” Rays. Looking at the tire size calculator I would gain about 1.5” on the front and little less than a 0.5” on the rear. My only concern is that it’s calling for at least a 9.5” wide wheel for that size. I’m guessing you were able to get them on. Did it help with some of the understeer?

Looking for confirmation on a 285 35 19 square setup on 2014+ sport rays. After doing some research and seeing it would require a 9.5” - 11” wide wheel I wanted to double check since the front sport rays are only 9” wide.

Also I do have a 10mm or 15 mm spacer if needed for clearance. Edit: Stock suspension, no plans for a drop.

275/35-19 fit the front sport Rays fine and no clearance issues. You could go wider on the wider rear rims.

What size do you suggest on the rear?

I had them on my car all season. I liked them better than 275 square. I did have a little issue with the first shop in terms of mounting them. You can do 275 square if you are nervous about finding a shop to mount the 285.

Thanks for replying! I am nervous I won't be able to mount 285 on the front.

I'm in no rush and I'm assuming tirerack would let me return them if I couldn't get them mounted.

I look at my rear tire now and just find it hard to imagine I can fit that much meat under the front fenders. Crazy!

I keep going back and forth on this, but you've given me confidence and I'm going to go for it. Worse case, I'd have to deal with exchanging them for 275 square.
