Default 370z getting ready for the track to run AER

FCar finally arrived last friday. We spent the weekend ripping out the dash and excess wiring. It was in tough shape. Car is getting a AIM 5" MXG with camera and all the fixings. Installing a cool shirt box, new fire bottle, brakes, rotors, rims, tires, going through the entire car to make the Glen in April. We will take it to a track day on april 10th for a preflight checkout as well.

See attached pic.

The name of the car is the Silver Tadpole.
シルバーオタマジャクシ
Shirubāotamajakushi

Can any Japanese memeber confirm I have the spelling correct ?
The site is not allowing me to upload pics, anyone have any idea's ?

Round two in the books. Thursday fogged in minimal laps, Friday, rain, and we blew a pinion seal, no qual time. STated at the back of the grid in class 4. Total 80 cars with 20 cars in class 4. I started the race and in the first 15 minutes the diff temp spiked had to come in and check a fitting and add diff fluid. Had issues with the tranny, we lost 5th and 6th gear (fork maybe?) and ran the car anyway. All drivers did their stints a few spins no one hit anything and we tried to manage the car for the day without the two top gears. The Glen is a very fast track so this turned out to be not the wisest move. 10 minutes let in race 1 for Saturday the motor went.

Appears to be a rod bearing but won't know until we get the motor opened up. Tough weekend all around but something we can build on. Made some really good suspension adjustments and worked with getting the brake bias dialed in. The car pulls away from stock e36 and stock E46 (most of the field = E30/36/46/E92) Car is capable of a podium once we get it back together and sorted.

Car was a fan favorite people loved the wrap and the 'Angry Tadpole' theme.

On to NJMP in a month.

I lost my 5th and 6th gears at VIR last month. Ended up getting g a new OEM transmission. Good luck!

Oil starvation is the likely cause of the engine failure. When you rebuild look up CJ Motorsports and grab their baffled oil pan. Also check your oil galley gaskets to make sure they didn't let go. If you know someone that can open the trans up, most of the time the forks get out of sync with the linkage assembly and it ends up locking out anything above the gear it happened in. May want to look into the MA Motorsports Diff cooler to help with those heat issue as well.
