Default Harry's lap timer and go pro overlay

So does anyone know how to get the overlay to work? Just did my second track day and bought Harry's LapTimer and a god data transmitter and used my GoPro that was linked with Harry's laptimer but I can not figure out how to get it to overlay. Anyone have any video of a walk through.

I use Dashware, though right now there is an issue with windows 10 and it.

Using external cams requires you to transfer footage to your smartphone first. Once this is done, overlaying GoPro vids works like overlaying videos recorded with the internal cams. The details are described here:

So are you emailing the lap data to yourself and then using the dash ware to overlay? I was under the impression Harry's could overlay itself if the GoPro was linked up, which I did before the sessions and Harry's sees my GoPro videos on the GoPro when linked with wifi but I can't get the data to merge. I'm lost.

Please check the link above. Dashware is not required.

Essentially, you can use the photo sync feature of iTunes (making sure to specify a particular folder to sync) to get the video from your GoPro to the phone. From there, you can link it to your lap data from inside LapTimer. Once you've exported the overlaid video, you can copy it back to your Mac using the "Image Capture" app. This is how I export all of my videos. Alternatively, you can upload straight to YouTube from the phone.

Ok I'll have to try again. I have loaded the video into lap timer but every time I try to export with overlay it says master video missing, even though it's there and still connected with GoPro through wifi. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Not sure my post linking to the Video Documentation is visible here (as it seems to me ignored ;-) ).

It describes the video transfer step by step and shows all the options. The faster and easiest approach is to transfer the video using iTunes File Sharing (not syncing). In case you get a Lightning SD card reader (sold by Apple), you can plug the GoPro's SD card directly into the iPhone connected reader and transfer the video without a desktop at all. Important: once the video is transferred, you need to resolve the Master Video link to the copied file. This step is named "Re-Link" and basically a two tap action. Again, it is described in detail in the doc.

I export the Laptimer files to my PC and use RaceRender to import my GoPro video and sync to the Laptimer files. RaceRender will give you the format options for what you want to include in the overlay as well as specifying start/stop points in the video.
