I see what you mean, but what happened is that the Porsche did something I have never seen in a race - deliberately pushing a car to the wall *as* it's passing you. It wasn't a nudge, and he wasn't completing his line - he straight up pushed him for a long period of time. As the 'vette got past him (pretty amazing in itself), the Porsche's push became effectively a PIT maneuver, pushing the rear of the 'vette around.
The fact that these guys got as far as they did up that straight is a testament to both their driving skill. Those are some crazy maneuvers to be pulling at that speed.
