What pad compound are you running? How advanced are you and hard on your brakes? Do you have brake ducts? Do you mind tearing up your rotors? How much weight have you removed from the car? What will the ambient temp be?

Your pads will be fine but this is a shitpost.

Personally, I don't like the one on the bottom right. Even though there is still some material left, the grooves seem really close to the backing plate. I've seen the pads become separated from the plate because the grooves act like a parting line and just let go.

In all honesty, you can probably get away with your session(s), but pads are cheap and having no brakes becomes REALLY expensive, if not dangerous to you and your fellow track mates.

As soon as I posted decided to change them. Going carbotech xp10 front and xp8 rear Car is stock other than brake cooling ducts and 25 row cooler. Not worth the risk and the OEM pads will become emergency spares

Wise decision. Rule of thumb for track days .... if there is anything less than 5mm or pad material left, change them.

The wear rate difference is between the first 5mm of pad material and the second 5mm of pad material is amazing. The purpose of that second 5mm of material is really to act as insulation for the caliper pistons.

Steel backing plate on steel rotor does not slow you down much either
