Thanks for bringing this into attention. I have turned keycaptcha off and went back to Q and A system (temporarily) while I work on keycapcha or a better system. You should be able to register fine.
Keycapcha is one of the few "oem" verifications that comes with the vb. I still have 5 more spam block type "add on" that should tackle the russian hackers!  Thanks op for reporting as this kind of things are hard to know as there is no red flag that it wasn't working.
