If the subscription emails are the problem, why not put a cap on the number of subscribed threads? I subscribe to a lot of threads but I changed my default

If the subscription emails are the problem, why not put a cap on the number of subscribed threads? I subscribe to a lot of threads but I changed my default to "no notification" and just check the flagged threads in the User CP.
