Dude, enjoy the road trip! Make random stops (just not at biker gang restaurants)! Take pics!

On another note...did not get the car today, tire guy didn't show till 3PM! :eekdance:

Tomorrow...I hope!

Blacklisted91 05-18-2015 05:17 PM

Been making lots. I went NY to NC to TX, it's been wild. But I want to be home and with my car. I miss her.

Damn! 3 pm. I still need to get some wheels, but I kinda want to get a more aggressive bumper.

Ouch! It's about 12:18 on I-10 I see this 13+ z and a 335i racing and 335 lost control and spun into grass and hit the metal fencing wire. I stopped to make sure he was okay. He was fine but damn, the Z was losing lol.

Haha. Prob! I have a friend here in Austin with bolt on and tune in his 335i making like low 400. Those engines come TT. The tunes really open them up. But, I got my exhaust on the day I left for NY, haven't been able to really feel anything because it was down pouring and I don't get wreckless with Mother Nature I've made that mistake once.

Actually I'm only asleep for like 5 hours then normally. My breakfast is something I snag at 9pm before heading into work.

So, let me rephrase: If there is enough interest I could wake up early to get some dinner with you all.

Blacklisted91 05-20-2015 11:04 AM

Damn, that's a bad shift. Lol

Just post when and where.

Morbid370Z 05-20-2015 12:25 PM

I am always good with Texas Roadhouse, Chuys, Brick House, etc. 7pm to 8pm Timeframe. Toss idea's around. I'm allergic to curry, so no Thai/Indian/Chinese please.

Morbid370Z 05-20-2015 05:29 PM

Yawn. Noone down for food?

Pintsize725 05-20-2015 06:20 PM

Guess not? I'm not free.

Morbid370Z 05-20-2015 06:31 PM

Kk. Sleep it is!

Morbid370Z 05-21-2015 09:06 AM

Woke up last night to my M370 intake manifold arriving two days early. :D

If I wasn't so tired I'd risk the install this morning. Perhaps Friday, since I have that night off.

Also, for those of you doing the hill country drive for Nismo Fiesta this weekend.. what are your plans to meet up, etc?

The headers and oil cooler, sure. I don't have the tools to really do a project like that.

The intake manifold is fairly simple, though. I should be able to tackle that.

I used to have a 335i and yes, those tunes really open the engines up...with ONLY a tune/intakes/FMIC, I was already at ~340rwhp and that is on pump gas

darkphantom 05-21-2015 10:20 PM

Anyone know of a good hand car wash place I can go to in Austin that is relatively cheap?

I used to go to keep-it-clean in houston and it was $14, inside-out, full hand wash. They did a great job!

Is it actually an external piece?

Yes - mounted to the underside of the front bumper. She just wants to mask it off and spray it while still installed to touch it up before Nismo Fiesta show this weekend. Shouldn't be too difficult. I would help out, but I'm just not sure I have the time tonight or tomorrow.

I got a 34 row thermostatic setrab oil cooler from Fast Intentions. Due to the headers yeah, I am basically deleting the factory band aid. All they are doing is routing water-cooled coolant to the oil pan From the factory. :/

I should be free after 5:30 today, but it's all dependent on the weather since I don't have a garage. Unless someone offers to let me use theirs. I'll bring all supplies, just need someone who can make the spray look somewhat clean.

I've never used plasti dip, but I could probably lend you garage space.

Piece of cake - it's more or less just like any spray paint. Just make sure to warm up the can in some hot water and shake the schitt out of it before and occasionally during use.

Blacklisted91 05-22-2015 09:57 AM

I dipped Lots of my old car. It's super easy

Sweet, let me know if you are up later. Honestly, anything would look better than the current state.
