Don't think I'll be able to join you Zag. I'm probably coming in late Saturday night from a work event in College Station. If anyone wants to do lunch after, though, I'm down. We all haven't been on a cruise either.....

So I just got an email saying that the Nismo Performance Academy is coming to Austin June 22-23 at the Circuit of the Americas. Anyone planning on going to this?

I just got the same email, but the link they provided had no details. I'm gonna wait and see what the deal (cost, etc.) is before deciding.

Where the hell were you guys signed up at?

I think I registered on the Nissan website when I bought the car. But other than that nothing ...

Ive been working with Nissan organizing attendees on the GTR side.

The event is 100% Free of charge and you will be driving your own car as well as have a chance to sample some of the provided cars in different situations.

I will be there. Im also working on a little get together both friday and saturday night. You guys are welcome to attend if accepted into the event. Also I might have a group rate at a local hotel lined up

I will post about everything once all the invites officially go out

Yes. We registered just to get the invite from Nissan about two and a half weeks ago

Is this registration through Nissan or Nissan Motorsports? I registered the car with Nissan after purchase - I get emails from them that are different from the emails I get from the dealer where I bought my car. I did not receive anything regarding the COTA event :(

Dunno ... Maybe I got the email because I was involved with the Nissan Car Corral at the Grand Am race at COTA in March ...

It seems as though Nissan is contacting the clubs prior to opening registration. I hope that I can participate in this event. Though it may be too late to join one of the clubs and get the private invite.

Yeah Jar.. the cut off for signing up for this event for the z club in SA was almost 2 weeks ago.

Jar, I did read something in the Cars and Coffee newsletter about being able to sign up for a drive at COTA.

My thoughts exactly...

I don't get a C&C newsletter so I have no idea.

I erased my copy this time since it's usually the same stuff over and over. Definitely saw something about signing up to be selected to drive it though.

I just realized the Nissan event at COTA has some seriously bad timing ... it's the same weekend as the 24 hrs of Le Mans!
