I went to AutoShoppe on Burnett. They did a great job. Did it fast. Didn't charge an arm an a leg. So far, so good!

Capital Z of Texas monthly meeting 12/17/2012

Capital Z of Texas (Austin's Z car club) has their next meeting Monday 12/17/2012) at Pok-E-Joe's BBQ in the Brodie Oaks shopping center(360 and Lamar).

It would be nice to see some of the local 370Zs come out.

Social hour and eating at 6:00pm. Meeting starts @ 7:00pm then hang out in the parking lot checking out the cars afterwards. If you can't get there in time, feel free to come by later as we hang out in the parking lot for several hours.

Pintsize725 12-11-2012 02:13 PM

No northside meets?

For those who go to the Austin Cars & Coffee in Leander, Just got an email from the group that runs it. This is from that email

Austin, Texas – Dec. 10, 2012 – Austin’s first Formula One race has driven so much growth in the auto enthusiast community that “John Eagle European Cars & Coffee” will move to the famed OASIS on Lake Travis. Beginning January 13, 2013, the monthly automotive celebration will relocate to the “Sunset Capital of Texas” with the F1 Watch Party Race Events hosted by Zinger Hardware, multiple dining options, additional parking, shopping and club gatherings.

The downside is that it is a bit farther for those from up north. But this seems far and away overshadowed by the fact that the drive there is much more exciting than a cruise up 183. And Lime Creek Rd. is just a stone's throw away from there.

Anybody want to help me install my HFC's over a weekend? If you have a place to do it with tools that would be awesome since I live in an apartment complex and have already been warned about doing maintenance in their parking lot. Should be easy since I just had TP's installed and no more demon bolts. I'll buy you a case of your favorite beer!!

Merry Christmas everyone!

LukasC 12-23-2012 12:33 PM

When is austins coffee and rides? I might try and start driving up there from s.a. Sometime

NBZ34 12-23-2012 12:40 PM

They just moved to a better location as well, The Oasis on Lake Travis. Next visit will be out there.

I think they moved to the second Sunday of the month as well. The January one will be the 13th at the Oasis @ Lake Travis

guru 12-31-2012 02:22 PM

NBZ34 01-05-2013 12:42 PM

Bored, are we?

Pintsize725 01-05-2013 12:44 PM

Very much so. Have not seen anyone from the Austin crew in a bit over a month I think.

Pintsize725 01-05-2013 12:59 PM

Doesn't look like the Zs will get to park and show their rides at C&C unless someone handled this.

"Dealers, vendors, and car clubs contact Jody via email: jody@oasis-texas.com to reserve your spots!"

NBZ34 01-05-2013 01:15 PM

How many parking spaces are there at the Oasis? C&C should definitely be held in much larger locations to accommodate the masses. We generally draw 200+ cars each month in SA.

No idea. I'm waiting for a buddy of mine to get back to me so I can go scope out the area.

Yeah, thats not a very conducive location for a car meet that takes place every month. What about vehicles/people that just show up? like if I were to come up there, I'd be pissed if they turned me back after driving all that way to hang out with other car enthusiasts and enjoy the rides.

I'm guessing we'll have to park in the parking garage or get someone to schedule us monthly. Not sure.....

I don't think they would turn you away, but it would be irritating not to be able to "park and show" so to speak. Parking in the garage is not my idea of a car meet :ugh2:

I plan on showing up even if it is to park in the garage. They will have the McMahon Raceworks Lotus Evora GX Racecar there. Also, here is a shot of the Camaro club taking up an entire row. :shakes head:

Thank you for setting this one up Tracie, I really appreciate it!

Unfortunately, I will be in class that morning at church. Could you please make
a post to organize the Cars and Coffee Austin370Z January meet for us?

Pintsize725 01-06-2013 03:20 PM

John Eagle European Cars and Coffee™ Austin -Austin370Z Second Sunday of each month.

Sunday, January 13th, 2013
We'll meet first at
13201 Ranch Road 620 North
Austin TX 78717 (Lowe's Home Improvement parking lot)

Then right after 9:45am we'll head to
The Oasis on Lake Travis
6550 Comanche Trail
Austin, Texas

(P.S. Please keep header title when adding name so that new
people signing up don't have to scroll down or go to next page
to see time, location & date.)

Due to a venue change, we are now required to request parking spots for the group. This month we have 5 available to us. Please sign up or let me know if you want a showcase spot but don't let the limit discourage you from coming out!

1. Pint (most likely not parking in a show spot)
2. ???

Zaggeron 01-06-2013 03:22 PM

Why don't we have the meet-up somewhere closer to the Oasis. When it was in Leander the Lowe's parking lot was a natural meet-up, but it's way out of the way unless you live way north.
