That result ruined my Super Bowl Sunday. If the Giants lose my day will have been full of disappointment. Man the Blues started strong. It was a great game though for anyone watchin it. I know my buddy is at his house like this :happydance: right now after that Newcastle game.

Really? The first half was DIRE. The Blues came into their own in the 2nd half. I'm still mad Mata thought he had a better chance with Chelski than us (but he's right lol).

2nd penalty was BS. But the Arsenal are now 3 pts off of 4th place. Hope Tottenham and Liverpool draw tomorrow as well.

Thats true they did get those two goals at the beginging of the 2nd half. Personally I felt real good about going into the 2nd up a goal. Mata's goal was brilliant btw. But Im totally butt hurt by the outcome. Great game though. Hopefully the Super Bowl can create as much excitement.

cow 02-05-2012 03:27 PM

The Chelsea fans booing Rio Ferdinand were pretty disgusting.

I'm ready for John Terry to go away entirely. I doubt he's any bigger of a dick than a lot of other athletes, but the media is absolutely obsessed with him & as such, he's always forced down our throats.

I'm just ready for him to not matter anymore.

cow 02-06-2012 03:59 PM

Taking a break from whinging, look at this freaking picture:

It's just a wall from a random match, but look at that collection of talent! That's just stupid!

really? I think 'CHAMBERLAIN' is a little more reflective than 'FVCKIN OX SON' :rofl2:

and dude...no way. you really think Gervi will suffer before Theo loses his spot?

Oxcart-Chamberpot van. Persie Gervinho

front three ftw

bigsix 02-06-2012 09:52 PM

Gervinho doesn't quite have the talent that Chamberlain has, i think. Rosicky is looking more efficient & reliable compared to last season...as is Koscielny

I think Wenger will can Gervi before he'll can Theo, hes got a raging hard on for him, form is all over the place but still gets starts. Plus Ox is looking pretty ace on the left.

And Kos looks to be one of the better signings Wenger has made in recent years, had a rough first season, but man he's adapted into one of the best defenders in the league.

I'll agree with Alan Shearer, we definitely have the fastest front three in the league, just think about it, Ox is 18 YEARS OLD.... this kid will be scary when he's 23-24.

Rosicky has looked alot better this year than last, agreed, but man his finishing is absolute GARBAGE. Needs to work on his shooting, everything he shoots is either at a defender or headed for the nosebleeds.

cow 02-15-2012 09:54 AM

He finally has a wiki page. When he played in the match against Shrewsbury Town, people were tweeting "There's a player who doesn't even have a wikipedia page!"

Forza Milan!!!

:tiphat:

(really pissed i won't be able to see the game)

Red370 02-15-2012 12:16 PM

we named a pretty strong side tonight, granted, Merte is out and that means Djou will be his replacement, i'd rather see that than have Gibbs come in and reinjure that glass body of his. Verms will likely start on left again, gotta admit, i'm glad the Bakery is back. I hope Ox gets the start tonight, he'll be an absolute terror down that left side.

phelan 02-15-2012 01:31 PM

what?

Arsenal starting XI: Szczesny; Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs; Arteta, Ramsey, Song; Walcott, RVP, Rosicky.

Subs: Fabianski, Djourou, Benayoun, Coquelin, Henry, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Arshavin

the ox on the bench. duh, he doesn't trust the ox that much yet :rofl2:

Red370 02-15-2012 01:52 PM

I think he's saving Ox for them 75th minute legs of the U-60 Milanese. BTW, Rosicky, officially declared worst right foot in football.

Red370 02-15-2012 02:13 PM

wow, we look like absolute shyt tonight.

Red370 02-15-2012 02:26 PM

yep, we're shit. Now all Milan has to do is park the bus.

Red370 02-15-2012 02:56 PM

blue660r01 02-15-2012 02:59 PM

Lol this game is a joke

Red370 02-15-2012 02:59 PM

Terrible decision leaving the in form Ox off, im not understanding his tactics in this one.

Red370 02-15-2012 03:16 PM

c'mon man, we gotta pull 2 back at least.

blue660r01 02-15-2012 03:26 PM

Red370 02-15-2012 03:27 PM

blue660r01 02-15-2012 03:29 PM

I've felt he needed to go for a while now dude I'm deff with ya on that

phelan 02-15-2012 03:29 PM

i'm not understanding his decision to start with Ox on the bench, subbing Henry on at the half (god bless him, but his legs have long since departed), and starting a player thats been out for months against a strong side like Milan. He screwed the pooch hard on this one and there will be alot asking for his head in the morning. Like I said, i've always stood by him, but the trophy drought, not bringing in world class talent and his poor decisions over the past few years have been enough for me to change my view and want the man gone. I'll always respect the man for what he did, but as it stands, we're out of the champs, we'll be fighting for 4th and we'll most likely gift Sunderland the FA tie, nobody, no matter how much wages he makes, will not want to play for us. RvP, enjoy the beaches of Spain.

blue660r01 02-15-2012 03:33 PM

Just buy Olic from Bayern

batman_4 02-15-2012 04:07 PM

are the rumors for RvP to Madrid legit or are you referring to another team in Spain Red?

phelan 02-15-2012 04:12 PM

thos aren't legit, those are made up BS by madridians, as usual. f*ck their propaganda.

he will either sign for barcelona, or remain at arsenal. i doubt rvp will go anywhere else, honestly.

Jon@AAMComp 02-16-2012 09:42 AM

Wow, tough game to watch that. Milan bossed midfield and the passing and movement of Robinho, Boateng, Nocerino and Ibrahimovic tormented the back four all night. Marking was some of the worst I've seen. Even RvP seemed to struggle to make an impact. Walcott and Ramsey both not on form too, it just wasn't Arsenal's night I suppose. I agree with everyone too, probably should have started Ox, the boy has pace like it's nobody's business and probably would have given Abate a harder time out wide. Djouru or whatever his name is has got to go I'm afraid. Looked erratic and unsettled since he came on and gave away a stupid penalty that effectively ended the tie. I never really understood why Wenger keeps fielding this player, I don't think I've ever seen him play a solid game. Based on the lineup and strategy, do you guys think Wenger was trying to play it safe, bag an away goal or two and take the tie back to London?

In saying that, I think what I witnessed in Milan proves a bad omen of Chelsea's tie next week, based on Chelsea's recent performances, and we might be in for a long, LONG night in Naples. Hamsik, Cavani, Lavezzi, Pandev, Lucarelli, all available, and sure to stretch our defense to the limit, a defense that has been questionable at times this season. This team can counter in the blink of an eye, and our midfield and defense might struggle to keep pace. Cech has been suspect at times, JT is not the rock he used to be, Cole caught out in possession frequently, Luiz looks confused half the time, Cahill still acclimating to the team, Bosingwa almost always out of position, who knows, I might be on here next week analyzing an even worse defeat, and it doesn't help our players don't have any confidence in the manager. If the players don't believe in the system, we don't have a chance. Not looking well for English clubs to advance to the quarter finals this season. :shakes head:

Hard to be place the blame all on Arsenal and Wenger though, they played against a rampaging, supremely confident Milan side; look every bit a team that can advance to the semi finals this season. Looks like for us, it'll be a battle for 4th place lol, difference between Tuesday night and Thursday night football. The way Chelsea have been performing the past few weeks, I don't think we deserve to represent England in the Champions League honestly. But good luck to the Arsenal boys at the return leg, I'm sure it will be a more entertaining game for the supporters playing at home.
