He shouldn't be suspended, a fine is in order but not a suspension. Under normal circumstances yes, he can sit for a few games but given that these refs have crossed over from being comically bad to dangerous (Darius hayward bay) I think the NFL would be in the wrong to hand down a suspension.
I find letting 3rd string refs handle these games and getting people hurt to be much more offensive to the game of football than a coach putting his hand of a ref. For the record, i'm a Bengals fan. I hate the Ravens and the Patriots equally. If both teams could have lost that game I would have been happy.
