2012 NFL Thread

Now that the Super Bowl is over (:() it's time to begin looking forward to the 2012 season. I for one can not wait and hope the Patriots finally win the Super Bowl next year.

Looks like Randy Moss is making his comeback for the 2012 season. I hope he comes to the Patriots and gives us that deep threat receiver that we so desperately need. Another possibility I've heard is Brandon Lloyd coming to New England because of his familiarity with Josh McDaniels. Reggie Wayne may also be interested if the Colts don't keep him. With 4 picks in the first 2 rounds of the draft, you know at least one will be used to pick up a potentially game changing free agent for the Patriots.

Texans should do really well next season, especially if they can keep Schaub healthy. I think the divisional round of playoffs next season will be the same as this season, except switch the Broncos with the Steelers.

Eh, not sure he will be back in time.
Also, the question of where will Yates go has come up. He has proven he is ready but the Texans might not want him if Schaub is healthy.

Wouldn't this season be the perfect example of why you'd want to keep him or try to get another decent 3rd string QB? :icon17:

Final Days: Any size, one price

It is, but having two top quarterbacks is always tough on a team.
I would hate to keep him, train him and then two years he leaves and then comes a top tier.

True. Who would take him though? He did enough to get by, but folded under pressure like you'd expect a rookie QB to do. Need someone to help him develop his skills.

In that case, he might build more trade value.

Maybe Indy or Tenn.

Back-up a rookie QB with a sophomore QB, wonder how that will work out :p

Yeah, but it will generate more urgency to train Yates and see him develop.
I mean, I would prefer to have him stay and maybe replace Schaub in 2-3 years.

Then they still have to decide what to do with Leinart.

Also read an article suggesting the Patriots might make a run at grabbing Mario Williams if the Texans don't resign or franchise him. :icon17:
