Cleveland fan much?? :icon17:
No but in all seriousness you are right that Lebrons decision to leave was probably not in his best interest. Its part of the reason he carries so much pressure to win now. However, I bet you if he wins a ring this year (and most likely will be MVP finals player as well), there won't be anymore talk about his character or personality. People will still hate him in Ohio for leaving them, but he will establish a new foundation of fans in the south,(and I think he has already started to do that) which to me is a much larger and more impactful crowd than the cavalier fans. Sometimes i feel that his actions outside of the court also make him seem like the "bad guy", but in reality, his amazing skills as a basketball player should overshadow that. Just as Michael Jackson had issues outside his music career, true fans of him and his music didn't let that affect their perception of how great of an artist Michael was. Similarly, all this background talk about him being a traitor, and etc, shouldn't take away from why we watch this guy play night after night and yam on guys that have 3 to 4 more years expereince in the league. All in all it for me it comes down to the skills you show on the floor, all that other talk can be saved for the tabloids. |

Anyways pressing on....:icon18:
Looks like lin really has to show out tonight to prove that his hype is actually real. As it looks now, Melo seems to actually like Lin, and they shouldn't have a problem tonight with ball possession, but Melo tries to say he isnt a ball hog. :shakes head: He sat down with Stephen Smith to talk about Lin: |
JR Smith ftw
|
jlin doing work!
|
Over top of my boy Dirk lol
|
hey JR, stop shooting!
|
Sucks wish I could have watched the game, looked like a good one from my NBA app lol sucks my mavs lost, oh well
|
Yeah it was a good game. The Mavs actually put up a good fight, I think they are back to being a better flowing team. Dirk had a good game, JK was more active, Marion was making plays (I thought the floater he had in the 3rd, when TC could have obviously blocked it, was funny as hell).
I have to say Lin, he has a good offensive game. I think the only thing lacking is that he is still not confident with himself. He has the skills he just needs to drive past his defenders when he has the opportunity. I like that he passes the ball, and isnt selfish, but when he is heating up and making shots, he needs to take the deccsion to take some of the crucial shots himself. Other than that, if he watches his turnovers, he has got his game down pact. |
man wish i could have seen it, supid job lol, ill have to watch the highlights
From what i heard Lin had a pretty good game, hopefully he can keep it up once Melo comes back that will be interesting to see |
steve novak pulled out the aaron rodgers championship belt after tossing in 14 pts in the fourth quarter. i nearly spat out my coffee laughing
|
yeah when Melo comes back it should interesting to see how they share the floor. I think it should be kind of like a Wade-Lebron set up (not to compare Lin and Melo to Wade and Lebron as players) but I think they may implement the same strategy Erik Spoelstra did with the Heat. Its only right when two skilled players have to play the same minutes on the floor.

As for the East playoffs, the Knicks are 3rd in the Atlatic division, so with Melo back, they need to win a couple more games to secure themselves in the playoffs. Where as Miami has the best record in the league now, surpassing the Bulls. |
Looks like Oklahoma and Miami are tied. Should be an interesting game when they meet, for now though we got Knicks.
Any takers? :icon17: |
Bulls hammered another team its great to have rose back. Plus Noah had a triple double!

on a side note does anyone else think they should fire jeff van gundy...god dam hes annoying and he doesnt even talk basketball half the time, and when he does it makes no sense. i feel bad for mark green sitting next o him night after night listening to what he says lol |

and imagine if we did not commit 19 turnover that led to 18 points ! NOAH really stepping it up lately hopefully this carries through to playoffs! |
Jeff van Gundy is highly annoying........
And Rip still hasent started in I dont know how many games once he comes back the Bulls will be hard to beat! DAN |
Yeah most def, Eastern Conference has two tough competitors coming out the Bulls and Heat, where as the Western conference I only see the Thunder being an issue, Westbrook and Durant are on fire this season!

I think noah's triple double silence many fans calling for DH12 to come to chicago this season. He may end up here in the offseason as a free agent, but I no longer see a trade here happening. I wouldn't want to give up anyone from this team to be honest. Especially Deng. |

So how about that Heat-Knicks game? Anyone watch????
Wow, so I have to say, I was right about Lin being shut down (:cough: where you at blu...what happened to your team?? LOL) Defensive pressure Chalmers gave Lin all night made it so Lin couldn't even shoot the ball, let alone drive to the hoop. They had Norris Cole on him late in the 3rd, to ease it down a bit, but Lin still couldn't score. 3 points for Lin, and 6 turnovers, and this is a guy who was averaging 17+ a game in his "Linsanity" phase. Lin was probably not ready for the kind of pressure the Heat were putting on him tonight, and this is where Melo and Stoudemire should of stepped up and taken that pressure off him. To his fairness though, its only one game, so I guess we can just call this his "bad game". Joel Anthony had some good blocks on the Knicks and Lin as well, overall the team was just playing good hard D and great offense. But I think this game showcased why the Heat are the team to beat. They have both ends of the floor on lock. Come playoff time, lets see if this will result in victory, I have a strong belief that if the Heat continue to play the way they are now, they will be unstoppable. |
Knicks got their *** handed to! D-wade and Bosh was unstoppable. Whats their record now 24-7?
