Anyone watching now?

I'll have to download the fight to watch it later, but it seems like Weidman dominated Munoz and called out Silva afterwards. He says he will follow Sonnen's blueprint, but finish the fight against Silva with a submission. :rofl2:
In other news, the coaches on the next season of TUF will be Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson. I'm pretty disappointed with this choice, it doesn't seem all that interesting to me. |
Great we have to watch Big Boy eat a whopper every episode. Fantastic!:shakes head:

After watching Weidman take out Munoz. I think he has an OK shot with Silva. The one thing that Weidman will have to get over though is he stands and fights for a little while before he took Munoz down. If he wants to beat Silva, he will need to take Silva down before Silva knocks him out

na lombard if he runs though tim boetch like expected i think should be #1 contender i think its a more fan friendly fight and can be hyped up more
he is sort of an unknown with 26 fight winning streak with that KO power. weidman needs to fight the winner of belcher/ bisping before a shot as a 185 eliminator match what he did last night was impressive.. i sort of felt bad for munoz he is such a good guy and i think he took a few too many shots there at the end before rosenthal called the fight |

I want to see Silva loose a fight. His last couple fights have not been good.

What was so bad about this last fight? Sure he got taken down in the 1st round, but he came back in Silva style and dominated to put Sonnen away in the 2nd. He finished Okami in his previous fight and had a highlight reel KO against Belfort in the one before that. Got dominated in the last fight against Sonnen, but then still won the fight with arguably the biggest comeback in UFC history. The Maia fight before that was lame, but he completely dominated Griffin in the fight before that. That's about far back as I've seen his fights other than the Henderson fight and the 2 fights with Franklin. Haters gonna hate I guess. |
Ya you could probably call me a Silva hater. I donno, I just think he was cheap in the last fight. He held onto the shorts a lot, also looking at all the slow mo's and stills on the internet I think that knee hit him in the chin.
Don't get me wrong, I think he is amazing but... I donno I'd like to see something happen. Edit: Looks like the knee hits the chest but the the leg gets him in the face http://cagejunkies.com/wp-content/up...nencloseup.gif |
Yeah the knee definitely hit the chest, but his thigh touched Sonnen in the head. I don't think he was any more cheap than any other fighter. I saw Sonnen grabbing Silva's shorts too, but it wasn't quite as obvious. Silva also pointed out to the ref in the first round that he got hit in the back of the head. Have to go back and watch it again to see if it actually happened, but that could be considered Sonnen being cheap.
Silva's fights are definitely more exciting than GSP. I think I feel the same way about GSP as you do about Silva. He's an awesome fighter and I like him, but I do want to see him lose. So who's your favorite fighter Sibze? As you can tell mine is Anderson Silva :icon17: |
If there is one I want to see lose their reign more than Silva it is GSP. In his robot voice, " I was not impressed with your performance." I can't recall the last time his fights were exciting. I never buy a GSP card anymore if that tells you anything. What sucks is Condit is waiting to fight him instead of putting the interim belt on the line which is what it is designed to do. Instead both belts are iced until GSP heals and can fight maybe by December...maybe. IMO he should have to fight Jake Ellenberger for #1 contender status instead. I would rather see Ellenberger or Hendricks become #1 contender since we don't get to see Diaz fight GSP. Condit may have one on points with his hit and run technique but he definately never threatened Diaz. GSP is going to take Condit down and lay on him for 5 rounds.

GSP couldn't or wouldn't finish Koshcheck when he was fighting with basically one eye for the entire fight. He also looked like crap against Jake Shields in a fight he should have dominated and never be anywhere near that close. That's my biggest issue with GSP, he doesn't finish fights. Just lay and pray to get the judge's decision. |

Thats why I hate GSP and Frankie Edgar. They win on points and never threaten to finish not even a glimpse. Instead in Edgar's case he is always threatened to be put away but has an iron chin or something and somehow out points the other fighter to win the decision or draw for the 100th time and beg for a rematch. |
