CLOSING YEAR 2013: MINI-ZDAYZ 2013 at HAROLD’s in PRAIRIEVILLE!

On Saturday, Nov 16, 2013, the Gulf Coast Z Club (GCZC) “Annual” Mini-ZDAYZ at Harold’s in Prairieville, LA was held, closing the year in a Grand Get-Together, Camaraderie, and Feasting on Turkey and Trimmings of all kinds. Participants brought these goodies with them while Harold provided and cooked the Turkeys and, of course, hosted the event in his own backyard. A Great time was had by all.

After the event, the GCZC officers held a meeting and discussed the direction of the club for next year. Changes were voted on and passed based on the performance of the club during this past year and the need to continually improve the Club’s offerings to its members by way of benefits and events hosting. Additionally, with the closing of the year, nominations of next year’s officers are now being requested.

Here are the highlights of the meeting:

1. MEMBERSHIPS: Memberships offered by the club are now changed to reflect an ‘Individual’ membership level and a ‘Family’ membership level. The ‘Associate’ membership will no longer be offered. The ‘Individual’ membership for the year is raised to $35.00, and the ‘Family’ membership is set at $50.00. These Yearly Memberships will reflect the added Member benefit of an Online Subscription to Z Car Club Magazine which offers write-ups on the Z Family of cars from the 240Z to the 370Z and beyond, as well as cover the Club’s events. Additionally, a limited number of hard copies of the Magazine will be made available to Club Members on a First Come, First Served basis at our meetings/events. Other Benefits of a paid membership will still be in effect such as car parts At Cost from LeBlanc Nissan in Gonzalez.

[NOTE: Membership Dues are now due for the Year 2014: PLEASE FILL OUT AN UPDATED MEMBERSHIP FORM found on the GULFCOASTZCLUB.COM Membership Page of the website and send with a Check or Money Order to the address listed on the form As Soon As Possible]

2. MEETINGS: In order to further promote attendance and make events more exciting, the Club will only hold Quarterly meetings in 2014 in which old and new business will be discussed and voted on by the membership. This move will allow the club to schedule Events and Get-Togethers in the interim months based on other events that are being held in and around the area, such as Events at NOLA Motorsports, No Problem Raceway, as well as events in Mississippi such as Cruising the Coast.

3. FACEBOOK PAGE: The Facebook Page will be further promoted in order to schedule and coordinate events with the other Z-Groups in the area such as the VQ-Crewe, and the Louisiana Z Club. This will require an Events Coordinator who will keep up the page and its web-links current and coordinate the events accordingly.

4. OFFICER NOMINATIONS: The Nominations are now open for the following Club Officers. Nominations can only be made by Club Members, and the Nominees have to be Club Members. The Nominations are open for the following positions:

a. PRESIDENT
b. VICE PRESIDENT
c. TREASURER
d. CLUB SECRETARY

The Position of Events Coordinator, although Critically Needed, is not part of the Nomination Process. The positions above reflect the ZCCA requirements for our Club to remain in Good Standing so that we can take advantage of their crucial benefits such as Club Liability Insurance for Events, and Discounts at certain major car suppliers such as Z1 Motorsports and WOLF Technologies.

It surely has been a GREAT First Year for the Gulf Coast Z Club, with Multiple Grand events such as Hog Heaven in Mississippi in March, LeBlanc Nissan in Gonzalez in April, F&D in Alabama in May, Tin Roof Brewery in Baton Rouge in June, Times Bar & Grill in Slidell in July, Hard Rock Café in Mississippi in August, and of course, Harold’s Mini-ZDAYZ in November to close out the year on a high note…! Bottom line, it is you, the individual club member, who has made this a successful club with a successful year. The Club owes you a Heartfelt Thanks, and we look forward to an even greater year with you and your Z in 2014!

Garage kept and barely driven. This Gun Metallic gem is badged #0015 of 1500 for the year and has less than 8k miles and has been caught in the rain approximately 6 times. I hate to part with this beauty, but we all have to make hard choices in life. This vehicle has not been driven hard and still has the original tires with almost all the tread. Included with the vehicle are; a Kenwood navigation unit DNX-9990HD, one JL Audio 13TW5-3 subwoofer in a Wicked C.A.S. Magic Box (which allows for stock spare tire to stay in place), a set of JL Audio C5-650X separates and a set of JL Audio C3-650 separates for the front and the rear, and a JL Audio HD900/5 amp to push all the sound. Also included are the Factory mats along with WeatherTech molded protection mats for the driver and passenger sides, lock lugs, illuminated kick plates, any and all factory items that I can find(possible shipping spacers), and a factory backup camera with the screen located in the rearview mirror. I was asking for $40,000.00 but the new asking price is $36,500. I AM ALSO OPEN TO NEGOTIATING.

I know this is not the right spot for this post, but I wanted someone in this club to have 1st dibs.

We need this for three reasons: One, out of consideration for our hosts at Supreme Nissan so they can plan what areas of their prime parking lot to allow for our Z’s, Two, they are providing the Food and Drink, and Three they are advertising this event with all their Customers, and a lot of their Customers have expressed interest in coming on the day of the event to check out our Z’s, not to mention the effort, planning and the enthusiasm for our club by our very own Nissan Factory Rep Nancy Davis for this and every other Z Club Event we’ve had for the past couple of years! __________________ *BD2ZBN :: 2011 BSM/TRG/SP/6MT/Stillen Oil Cooler/K&N CAI/Michelin PSS/Brake Light/EIBACH Sway Bars/FI Res.
