I'm currently running with 18s and I'm just wondering, are there any folks out there who drive the 101/405/10 areas with 20s on? Would my car start falling apart because

I run 20s and roll those freeways often. It actually depends more on how low you're dropped. If you're slammed on coilovers - yes, you will have problems. If you give yourself some room (~2") between tires/fenders -you should be good. It may take some fine tuning; but once you get to a workable setup - 20s are the way to go, IMO.

OHHHH!!! So THAT's how it's done..

I always thought it was ~2" between sub-frame and ground....

Just kidding.

I would be more worried about the pot holes in Los Angeles than I would about driving on the freeway

When I worked in West LA/ Santa Monica that was pretty bad but so is most of Koreatown and Downtown

As long as you buy a quality forged wheel and not a cheap heavy replica you should be fine

Go 19s with nice tire. 20s on rubber bands sound like dented rims in the near future.

I do drive around k-town/downtown and it isn't that bad as far as 18s goes. Potholes nowadays seems to be fixed where-ever I go, so thats not too much of a concern.

You know what? **** it, I'll just lift my car 5 feet up in the air with jeep tires. Seems appropriate for LA roads anyways.

Yea true. Pot hole in LA is getting better. Figeuroa is getting fixed too. But than again if you hit one pothole chances are your rimes are gonna dent because the tires are so thin! Y dont you go 19s?

Yeah, I think 19s would be the best in this case, considering Los Angeles roads aren't the best. Now, if I were in Oregon...

I moved to Scottsdale from LA.

I had 20"s & 22"s on a Dodge Charger r/t that I had on springs..

My family also had a BMW 650 at the time with run flats & 22" Asanti's...

The charger made it thru all the potholes with hard in car bumps but nothing to the wheels. The BMW ended up with a few dings on the wheels.

I'd say get the 19"
