Any Car Club?
Any Z or Nissan car club in Jacksonville, FL? And... happy Thanksgiving!!!
I see SunCentral (combination of Suncoast club and Central Florida clubs), but i cant find their location of home base. Just seeing if any official or unofficial meets are here in Jacksonville this weekend (11-29-13 or 11-30-13). Anywhere where my girl and I can hand out with other Z folks. We do parking lots (get your minds out of the gutter! lol) Thanks! |
Try looking for Staggardmotion of Jacksonville . Cool guys.

"The new SunCentral Z Club is for all Z car enthusiasts. Members own or appreciate Z cars from 1970 240 Z’s to the new 2013 370Z. The Club is a not-for-profit organization formed to provide its members with access to knowledge about their Z Cars and also provide a forum for members and other interested parties to exchange Z Car information. This new Club represents the merger of the Suncoast Z Car Club and the Central Florida Z Club. This new Club combines the efforts, talents and skills of each group to better serve the Z community – from coast to coast!" Here is the link. didn't mean to open a can of worms. lol Maybe an old club that needs updated? Just ran across that link doing some research. About | SunCentral Z Club |
It's all good man, there isn't even a can of worms to open. A lot of us on this thread are part of the Central Florida Z Club, which sounds similar to what they're talking about. Osiris was just explaining that we've never actually met the other club and are not really affiliated with them. Just didn't want any confusion!

Yes, there used to be another "Central Florida Z Club" That club is no longer and the existing members are now with SunCentral. We represent the new "Central Florida Z Club"

Gotcha, No worries at all.
Yes, I too am going to ZDayz 2014. Can't wait. Haven't been there since I was the webmaster for ZDayz. Just looking for somewhere to hang a little this weekend in Jacksonville, FL. I may just have to cruise around Jax with my girl and check out the sights. Will be looking for a good place to take some photos of my Z while in the city. Looking for some cool backgrounds. |
New is always good. I am trying to get the Palmetto Z Club back up and running in Columbia, SC. Jim did a great job, but he has been really busy. Ya know how clubs can be, 10% of the members do 90% of the work (not always the case.) Time is always a huge issue, but the enthusiasm is pretty much always there. I had to drop out of ZDayz webmastering because of the time.

Well look us up when you get there man, we'll be the cabin on the corner directly across from the rec hall and restaurant. Where they usually have the exhaust competition line up. We'll have a big black CFZC banner in the front. It would be awesome to meet you!
Zdayz 2014!! |
I bet there will be a ZDayz 2014 post here pretty soon. I know all the cabins and lodges are booked at Fontanna Resort. I got the last lodge room. Wanted to stay in a cabin like I always do, but i just reserved a room last month. My favorite is near Stonehenge.
Anyway, off we go to see Jax. :happydance: |
Yeah I can't wait, it's gonna be a blast. Tony from fast intentions will be raffling an exhaust, and I heard a rumor that someone might be raffling a sweet import car. Someone might leave there with a new set of wheels :excited:

<insert string of profanities> ....
So for those of you who don't know, I have terrible luck with getting rear ended. Tonight makes the third time I have been rear ended through no fault of my own. First was in a McDonald's drive thru when the guy behind me got in such a hurry to get his egg McMuffin or whatever that he hit the gas instead of the brakes. Second time was on the Interstate when a drunk rear ended me at 5:30 in the afternoon and continued to drive into me and then tried to drive off like nothing happened. When the police arrived at his house, he actually tried to call the police on the police. Well this evening, rear end #3 happened. He is also the relative of some Z owners who were at the Nismo Performance Academy in Miami. This is the worst rear end yet and it's not so good. It also includes my g/f's new Magma Red Z. We were both stopped at a red light waiting on it to turn green. He barrels into her without stopping, and she was then pushed into my car. He said he "looked down for a second" and when he looked up bam....he told the cops he was tired, but I'd wager he was texting while driving. He did get a ticket, now I just hope his insurance gets this fixed ASAP. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-d...129_180724.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-K...129_181709.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-M...129_181508.jpg And somehow this is the damage to the rear of hers and the front of his car. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-F...130_004825.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-z...129_180637.jpg His windshield did crack and his air bags did go off. Neither of our airbags went off though. Now the really bad news. Despite how bad my car looks, it's a lot worst. The hatch will not open, and if you look at the damage the rear bumper seems to have been pushed up into the hatch by a good bit and then popped back out. Additionally, my car now appears to be a few millimeters wider or the hatch is now a few mm thinner as the body extends past the hatch on each side. The side skirts are also off by a bit now as well. And I now have a random shimmy while driving, and the alignment is off. FML. So anyone know of a REAAAAALLLY good body shop that can actually tell when the rear quarter panels aren't right? And/or of a good auto accident lawyer? On a side note...I should start buying Nismo bumpers in bulk. |
Dddddaaaaaaaaammmmmmnnnnn!
So sorry to hear about this, man. :( Keep us in the loop on the repairs. My shop is out of Daytona (Holly Hill actually). The Body Werks. They do good work, I've been pretty pleased with them. |
|
So you basically got a wide body kit for free? This sucks man, I'm really sorry to see this. This is the reason I love being able to talk to my Po Hong to send a message, I don't have to worry about this happening as much.
I have to wonder, with that much damage do you think the insurance company will just total it? That sounds like too much damage to fix if the whole rear end frame is screwed. Zdayz 2014!! |
Sick to my stomach over that - both Z's messed up in one accident! Take that guy to the cleaners - hope whatever he was texting was important enough to ruin someone else's day.
Hope you get it all worked out and just maybe it ends up better than before. :) |

So the local State Farm claims center is incompetent and required me to repeat things several times and still kept getting the details wrong. Then the kicker at the end of the whole scenario is..."We will probably accept liability but we do not have the money to pay for the damages to repair both your vehicles"
|
Damm, that is stupid. I'm sorry to hear that man. This should be a painless process, and it just seems like they want to drag it out.

Hope it works out for you bro, if you need help pulling parts in the end let me know, I'm free Sundays and Mondays. I can swing by and wrench around with you (and then take off with all your parts hahahaha) Zdayz 2014!! |

Then what's the point of paying insurance? |
Seriously... drives me nuts hearing that crap
Zdayz 2014!! |
I had USAA come out and look at the car, we insured full for everything. It will cover aftermarket bumpers, oil cooler, supercharger, after market exhaust etc.. I think I have been hit more times that anyone, no I am covered..
Sucks that the ******** make good people pay! Reminds me of Obama :rofl2: |

Where we are at is that his policy supposedly only has $10,000 coverage limit for property damage. So we are trying to figure out what we should do. Do we both go through his insurance and get them to pay a portion and then go to our insurance? Do we go to our insurance and just get them to take care of it and then go to his for diminished value? Do we just have one go through his insurance and one go through our own? Do we just go through one of our policies? So many questions, and so few answers. |
Slap him around so he knows he's your bïtch, then put his àss on a corner till he makes enough to pay up.

At the very least make his company pay as much as possible and then have your company pay the rest. The less your company pays the less your rates will go up

Your insurance company has its own lawyers that will go to bat for you. You don't need a lawyer. This is a no fault accident (two rear ends) so it will not affect your premium. File a claim immediately.

I'm at 5.6k by myself of the 10k without them taking off the bumper to see the full extent of the damage. The g/f's car has damage to both front and back, so that made that decision pretty easy. We'd exhaust that 10k between the two of us before we even got to the rental cars for a few weeks worth of downtime. I went and got two quotes today. The first one didn't seem all that excited about having to do a quote that they felt was useless because the insurance company would have to do their own quote later. The second shop listened to my situation and was more than willing to write me up a proper quote. They also immediately identified the damage to the rear quarter panels and showed me where you could clearly see the damage if you know where to look. Something the first shop did not. That made it very easy. The first shop wanted to work for the insurance company and do whatever they said. The second shop wanted to work for me and make sure my car got fixed right. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-b...202_132915.jpg The second shop saw the above ^^ and needless to say, in addition to the quarter panels it is where it differs from the first shop significantly. The first shop couldn't even be bothered to take the interior piece off that was barely hanging on. It may be hard to tell from the picture, but that is inside the hatch area by the spare tire. The rear shell of the car is pushed in significantly. State Farm feels confident that they should be able to get us the deductible money before our cars are finished. Official estimate is scheduled for Wed, and the estimate is that it should take 10 business days. So if all goes well, I should have my car back by Christmas. |
Great news! After that we need to have a special meet where we go find the person that did this to you. :bowrofl:

Side note: Mr&Mrs, are you selling your Z? :( |
Good to hear you're making the right progress on this. Good luck and post pics when the cars are all clean and finished. :)

Well, Sanford Paint and Body finished a day ahead of schedule and their work is immaculate. Grand total was around $5760. The real major work was that they had to cut off the frame extensions and the rear piece and weld new ones in. Having new pieces in there gives me a lot more peace of mind for any future accidents.
As for the g/f's car, hers is going to be a bit longer still. It seems that despite the rear bumper of her car not looking too bad, the inside was all mangled. Her total is over 10k already. I am so glad to be out of the rental car. I had a Dodge Charger...the one nice thing was people did tend to get out of my way and stop speeding. On to the pictures. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-Q...219_155641.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-h...219_155715.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-r...219_164920.jpg |
Wooohooo! Black Beauty lives again!
"They tended to get out of my way and stop speeding" hahahaha that's awesome. Glad it's all working out. Did their insurance end up paying all of the bill or no? Zdayz 2014!! |
All right!!! Glad to hear!!
|
Looks awesome!
