Guy quoted almost $400 to put Intakes on a G37 at Forged Performance.. thoughts?

Wow. Listen, Forged Performance is a business and they have every right to charge whatever they want to for their products and services. If you don't agree with their pricing, then go to another shop. It's obvious that Forged is doing something right because people continue to use their shop and you better believe the customers that go there shop around before settling on a shop to do business with.

Ethical profit? You've got to be kidding me. This is a capitalist society where we aim to make as high a profit as market conditions allow. There is absolutely no need whatsoever to drag a shop's name through the mud simply because you don't agree with their pricing... just choose another shop and get on with your life.

Not commenting on the capitalist stuff honestly, just saying some of us follow ethical lines of business practice, others do not. If you are cool with that, go to where you choose.

Your "ethical lines of business practice" argument is comical.

Charging $15 for a bottle of water in a hurricane ravaged town is unethical.

Charging a relatively high labor rate and relatively high prices on goods is NOT unethical. Unreasonable? Perhaps. But enethical, not at all. And again, considering there are other lower-cost shops in the ATL area and Forged is STILL in business they obviously are doing something right. Their clients obviously find value in their services and are willing to pay a premium.

If what Forged is doing is unethical, then:

A car dealership asking MSRP for a vehicle is unethical.

A botique watch shop charging 35% more than an online shop is unethical.

A grocery store charging $6.99 for a 4-pack of Red Bull instead of $5.99 like the one down the street is unethical.

I could go on and on, but I'm sure everyone else gets the point.

Enron took advantage of the public who were unaware of the reasons for high energy costs (despite that they caused it by creating a shortage). Accounting malpractice was only to hide what they had done genius. I STRONGLY encourage you to work for some of my company's competitors ASAP.

I will be happy to give you a reference.

I only buy on sale or at reasonable prices like any other informed human being. It is unethical to overcharge to make excessive profits M4A1. But then again, you bought a Ford so I can't seem to reason with someone who defies logic, LOL. Say hi to me when you drive by in your V8 next to the Grandma also driving your car.

Yes you are faster, no your car is not cool. I have seen SMART cars with hayabusa engines which will handling destroy a 370Z on the road. Maybe you should look into that setup for pure speed buddy without any sense of respect for yourself.

you should go start a business. charge your customers exactly what you pay your employees per our, sell things for exactly what you paid for them, and see how long you stay in business.
