I am interested. I was thinking of an axleback but I think the Nismo would hold me over with test pipes. Where are you located?

I have the test pipes in hand and really don't think the car will give much trouble having <400 miles but I still would rather have a shop do it. Unless someone else has experience and will help for beer :driving:

If you are up for a drive, I'd highly recommend CIN Motorsports in Charlotte for any Z related work. I can understand not wanting to drive that far for something so small but I honestly only get the little stuff done on my truck at the dealership and all my big maintenance stuff I do at either CIN in Charlotte or Z1 Motorsports in Carrollton, GA. CIN (and Z1) are full service Z specialists, good at both installs and tuning. If you are coming to dinner tomorrow we can talk about it more in person. Since your car is so new, I wouldn't be as hesitant to try to do it myself but I've heard those upper bolts are a big PITA to get to, even with extensions and swivel sockets. Also, plan on having extra bolts if the test pipes didn't come with them. Chances are at least one will break and you will have to replace it.

The Nismo is a little louder than the OEM exhaust on your Z but not by much. The advantage of buying one second hand like this is you could probably get most of your money back out of it whenever you decide to go with something else. When that time comes, I'd go with Fast Intentions. I think that's what Rooskey had on his car, I know that's what phantom just got from jtodd and they sound amazing, perform well in gains and most of all, fit extremely well, something most aftermarket exhausts can't claim until you get into the really high dollar stuff like Amuse.

PM sent. Yea I would definitely go with this system over just an axle back set up. The nismo exhaust has a true H-pipe, and goes from the cats to the tips.

Two other Z owners recommended Danny's muffler in Fountain Inn.

Confirming - Zoe's at 7?

I've used Danny's for several things over the years and I've not had a bad experience to date. That being said it's a little place and very small town-ish so expect that sort of thing. Also, for just installing an *exhaust* I'd do it yourself, it's about as basic as it gets and takes about as long as changing oil if you have the right tools and a way to get the car over your head.

Confirmed Zoe's, but more than likely I won't get there until 7:15.

HKYStormFront 06-19-2014 07:11 AM

We are talking about Zoe's on Woodruff Rd near Academy Sports, right?

3. HKYStormFront (Patrick)
4. brancky3 (??)
5. Ryan
6. Kyle

I can bow out if you want to appease the masses, lol. I was initially surprised everyone was game for it since it was Mediterranean. I wish I had a free Leaf...

Obviously this new Brandon needs to pick a different name. It's way too confusing.

My thoughts exactly... a nickname shall be coined.

brancky3 06-19-2014 10:05 AM

Guess I should have bought that Pearl White Nismo I test drove before I bought my car just to confuse everyone more.

See you guys there shortly. I was gonna drive my car but since there's a hurricane outside I decided to leave it in the garage. I'm not afraid to drive it in the rain, just more afraid of everyone else and mother nature deciding it needs a branch through the front grille (which almost happened on the way home from work, thankfully no damage that I could see when I got home).

HKYStormFront 06-19-2014 09:40 PM

Great time tonight guys, really enjoyed that.

I'm going to have to get down there at some point. Looks like a great time.

It was tons of fun karting last night! I definitely need to practice... lol

Does anyone want a stock catback with 350 miles on it? Come pick it up (2 minutes from the i85 & hwy 14 intersection) and it's yours, otherwise I will be scrapping it next week.

You live behind the hospital? Kyle (the scruffy haired guy that showed up late at karting) lives back there.

If no one picks it up just bring it to my shop and put it in the small red trailer beside my dumpster. To the right of were we parked. If all else fails I will come pick it up from your house early next week sometime.

How'd you do on the second race?

phantom370z 06-21-2014 07:49 AM

**Warning** This is not Z related

Incase anyone is interested I've got an VZW HTC One(M8) up for sale, commercial device of course, but it's unlocked/s-off and is mint. If anyone wants it locally I'll do $485 so this thing stops taking up room on my desk and I know it goes to a good home. This is the best phone I've owned to date, period.

HTC One M8 (Verizon) For Sale - CFK043 - $529 > Swappa

*I don't think I've ever sold anything so fast in my life* - SOLD to Patrick
