I'm looking at getting a carbon creations CF hood for my Z, but have been reading conflicting stories on whether or not hood pins are needed. I'd hate to have to install them. I think it takes away...

That's kinda like it haha but definitely not pretty.... For a truly functional wing, frame mounted is the best, but with an eye for aesthetics as well, it looks like I'll be going with a hatch...

A few repeats of waxing and buffing the general area will help to blend it in, but if you want a factory looking finish again, take it by a body shop and they'll wet sand and re-clear the area
