Anyone looking for a Canon Speedlite 430ex ii? I bought it used from Adorama for $200. Works fine, just has minor scuffs from previous owner. Just trying to get my money back. I'll send pictures to interested parties.

HKYStormFront 03-28-2015 06:43 PM

I like mine a lot, but I don't know that I need another one. GLWS!

redstarcg 04-04-2015 10:59 PM

Did a quick test with a friend last night. Just fooling around.

Very awesome, small critiques, maybe reposition so that lamp isn't right in the middle of the car, and clone out the words on the windows in the back. You're one of the best night car photographers I've seen, no doubt:tup:

redstarcg 04-09-2015 10:37 PM

Thanks a bunch man. Greatly appreciate it!
I couldnt agree more about the post. It annoyed me as well. Its sad that its little things like that which would help take it to finish and I am too lazy to retouch out haha.

Do you focus stack the background? Sure looks like it!

redstarcg 04-22-2015 03:43 PM

Yeah I also shoot at like f11 or so. I like to have crisp environments. :)

6spd 04-23-2015 07:23 AM

Cool man, that's one thing I've never done, but really need to do. Problem for me is I live in a area where I have literally zero interest in the kind of backgrounds available to me, so my motivation to shoot cars is almost nill... really gotta get back into it. I love all the industry and tall buildings you have there!

redstarcg 04-23-2015 07:31 AM

I know exactly wha you mean. Thats why I really slowed down with shooting cars. Need interesting and unique backgrounds to shoot in haha.

I'm having the same problem trying to find anything nice looking around my area, I'm having to travel up to an hour away to find new locations in Orlando so I haven't done much photog stuff as of late. Here's a couple new ones...

feel you! I've got lots of locations around me I'd like to shoot my car at. But most of them I'd have to have a friend go with me and stand around with an AR-15 so my car don't get jacked!

Masterbeatty 04-27-2015 08:32 AM

I have been doing some nice shots. I just need some time to upload them.:shakes head:

Also, nice crispness. Focus is dead "nuts"

Thanks. The gull was an accident when I was trying to capture two swans floating together, but I was very satisfied when I got home and looked at all the pics. I had to edit it alittle but I am happy the way they both came out.

Great photos! What lens you are using?

Masterbeatty 05-01-2015 10:56 PM

It's a Nikor 55-300 VR mounted to a Nikon d3200.

Trying to debate what to do...I want a new lens but am annoyed of the switching out when looking for zoomed shots.

Running a Canon 60D with the 18-200mm lens, I've got f1.8 50mm on the side.

Thinking of selling the 18-200mm but not sure what to replace it with.

I want to really not spend too much, if I can sell the 18-200mm for $350, I should be able to put in a small bit and get something around $500 but not sure what.

I don't really shoot as often as I did but I take my camera when I go on trips and shoot all sorts of things from portraits to landscapes, etc...

A good walk-around lens is what I am looking for but I feel like my 18-200mm just isn't sharp enough.

Hard to replace that lens without big big bucks. If anything, sell the one and pick up a used 24-105 L f/4 for around 650 and call it a day:tup:
