This is the non-IS, which I had and it was phenomenal. http://www.borrowlenses.com/product/..._70-200mm_f4_L . |
I never posted this one here but since the Z is going bye bye, figured I'd share it. I never got the time to get rid of that air traffic line on the right side but I'll get around to it one day.

Met up with a local z club and had a fun session with the guys/gals.
Here are two shots so far. https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8848/...cdf8fb34_b.jpg https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8809/...a4b69481_b.jpg |
On the second shot of just Bobby's car, check the bottom of the passenger window area. Looks foggy or something. Might be something from another layer creeping in. Shots look great though mane

Thanks HKY. That was actually a little gradient highlight I added. I usually go higher but didn't have enough data to fill it in without having to paint it myself.

The star trails were done at f/2.8 (I believe) and 30 second exposures, all stacked. I'll have to check my originals for specifics, I took this back in Feb. |
Took this at Zdayz in the baseball diamond where they had the car show and I was pretty happy with how it came out. Critiques welcome.

For the professional photographers out there, I have a question regarding Upgrading my camera; I use a Rebel T1i (SO OLD lol) with a 50mm f/1.8 & the 18-55 Kit Lens. I am thinking of upgrading to the 6D + 24-105 f/4. I have used a 24-70 F/2.8 & 70-200 F/2.8, and while I do love them, they cost much more then I am looking to spend.
Question is this; Is the 6D + 24-105 F/4 the best Bang for your buck Full Frame SLR available? I would wait for the 6D Mk II, but it'll probably cost more for the Body then the 6D + 24-105. |
You can practically do anything you wanted with a 6D and 24-105. If you don't any specific thing, that simple setup is almost unbeatable for the price and quality. No need to wait for the mark ii, it isn't going to be anything that much better than the current, its just hype.
One last thing, unless you have a need for the 2.8 aperture, the cost can hardly be justified. I use the 24-70 f4 and the 70-200 f4 both with IS and they are amazing. I have an 85mm 1.8 for DOF on portraits when needed. |
Agree with Jay^

Sweet. Thanks for the help guys. I used the 70-200 F/2.8, and I love how sharp the pictures are. And this past weekend I got the chance to use a 24-70 f/2.8 at an Wedding/Reception that I helped out in. Crazy DOF and sharpness.
|
Those lens are the top of the food chain and come with a premium price that even at used prices are still huge. The f/4 versions are just as sharp, some may say even sharper, but can't quite reach the DOF of the 2.8 versions.
|
I have the 28-70 f/2.8 (the older version of the 24-70) and the 70-200 f/4. When I want bokeh for a still shot, I pull out the 135 f/2 and go to town :stirthepot:
