I told him I have a G35 and am willing to buy, but only if the treadwear is as good as is posted in the for sale. I used a dummy email address and the guy responded, gave me his real email, name, phone, etc and wants me to call him to set up the purchase.

Spelling/grammar are continually bad. More to come shortly, we have his home address now thanks to Dekalb County Police and will be setting up a meet (without me present obviously, just some of our boys in blue/plainclothes too).

I'd really delete this asap and just let us know the aftermath. If they or anyone they're involved with gets wind of this they may be able to get away. Although, if the cops already have their location, they're pretty much screwed

I've met (by happenstance in mixed company) people who had previously stolen cars, parts off of cars, etc. My old car was broken into a speed shop when it was being parted out and I had 6 defi gagues stolen. That was a smash and grab job. Stealing wheels off a new, flashy car from a parking garage is ballsy, and somewhat stupid, unless you know exactly what you're doing. Some cars have alarms so sensitive that just driving by them can set them off. These guys were able to bypass the wheel lock, grab the wheels without anyone noticing, and get away in i'm assuming some shady a$$ van. But people who are professional thieves can pull stuff off you wouldn't believe. But I must admit this is somewhat a "small time" gig because even though the wheels will net you a nice lump sum of cash when you sell them, you need to use a lot of traceable methods of communication to dump them. A lot of crime rings and well organized thieves have buyers already set up or avenues to move the products. These idiots put them up on Craigslist in a nearby geographic locale with a terribly shady add (one pic of one wheel, not even on the car). In Jersey, if your car is stolen, no matter from where, it's usually found in pieces in lovely Newark. A few years ago lots of cars were being stolen straight from huge shopping mall parking lots in the middle of the day. How you ask? The thieves just straight up towed them away.

I just hope they get what's coming to them and Anomaly gets his wheels back.
