Just for future reference, have the UPS guy sign on your shipping slip that the item was received damaged and have a picture taken with the UPS guy and the damaged goods. Now it's your word against his.

Dragon_Ball_Z 03-11-2015 11:40 PM

Thanks, I will do that next time.

I think that's a crock too. If you refuse delivery you aren't obligated to pay anything especially damaged. He was feeding you a some bull cookies to get you to accept it

:iagree: I've even made them wait around for me to open a damaged box to inspect the contents. If it's not acceptable, I just tell the delivery driver that I am refusing the package because of damage. If they say anything about paying them, tell them to bill you. They won't.

Good thinking. CYA (cover your a$$) is always a good thing.

Dude.. WTF!?

That blows my mind someone would package something like that and send it...

To me it looks like it was opened before delivery.

Dragon_Ball_Z 03-15-2015 09:39 PM

That's what I said

Got_Z 03-15-2015 09:45 PM

That's some potato packaging. I'll be sure to not purchase anything from that seller. Thanks for the heads up and good luck brother.

Watch out for StrokeThis347

Bought these
http://www.the370z.com/parts-sale-pr...ort-tails.html

Clearly states...

"New, I bought them for my car but then ended up getting rid of it before I put these on."

So I bought them..agreed on fair price since they didn't include the tips.

These finally arrived today and not only were they not new, they were scratched up from being installed, dirty as hell from exhaust soot, and doesn't have any mounting hardware.

Well, I should have done my homework.

http://www.the370z.com/intake-exhaus...s-bad-fit.html

Guess he installed them after all!

I've already opened a Paypal claim because he's obviously not honest and despite sending an email asking for a refund I'm not wasting any time.

Name: Chris Cheek
His paypal address is: paxton50mustang@yahoo.com

Just in case he tries to pass off any other used piece of **** as new on here.

tommyguns 03-18-2015 08:28 PM

You did the right thing, don't wait to hear from him, he's a liar and no matter what he says he can't make this right. Get your refund! Just for the future, it's forum rules that sellers post a picture. That could have saved you a bunch of trouble, although honesty is the best policy! It's not your fault.

cooltoy 03-18-2015 08:55 PM

It is actually not a rule to post pictures, but I would not have bought anything from a member with 65 posts without pictures sent to me first.

Does not prevent from scam from happening, but strengthens the case against the seller if the pictures were not of the item shipped.

blacksh33p 03-19-2015 08:35 PM

I'm not sure where I can post a great seller since its closed out."Stillen exhaust purchased" But sangahlang was a good guy with good product. I was a little blitz more or less still from the Saturday night before. But i was in a race sunday morning to get there to beat the competition & make it happen. We worked out the deal in sort time. I Would recommended sangahlang as a Buyer or Seller. Thanks Sangahlang!:icon18:

Some info/opinions

What would you do?

Dude wants to buy my OEM rays... ok sweet! So, he sends credit card payment via PayPal, but addresses don't match anywhere. The one on paypal doesn't match the one he wanted me to send it to. And... it's a P.O. box, that he said was his parents house.

I asked him update paypal and resend the payment after I refunded the first one. His question: "Can you just omit the P.O. box?". My response was no, because I'd have no protection through paypal.

Guy updates paypal, this time he sends an eCheck. I didn't see an address on the payment, but I thought it was because it hadn't cleared. It took till today to clear, which it did. Still, no address at all listed on this payment.

Which means, here we are again... no protection from paypal.

Now... with payment cleared and no address, no protection, he wants me to send them anyway. Lastly, his response after telling him about the missing address, "As long as they are what you say they are then there should be no issues."

Is the guy trying to pull one over on me? I'm starting to feel like it only because it shouldn't be this hard to complete this transaction.

We've been texting, and using PM's... seems like a nice guy. Lives in TN.

Any advice or incite on what might be going on?? I just don't want a paypal reversal to hit my account for $900 a month later leaving me with nothing.

If it looks shady it usually is.

SouthArk370Z 07-07-2015 02:06 PM

When it doubt, don't do it. If the guy wants them bad enough, he'll go to the trouble of doing it so you are comfortable with the arrangements. The fact that he doesn't seem to understand how Paypal works leads me to believe that he does understand and is scamming you. Or is a total newb to Paypal and online payments in general. Either way, I would be very careful. Cover Your ***.

JARblue 07-08-2015 09:49 AM

I wouldn't send him $hit ... well, maybe literal $hit: poopsenders - SWEET revenge at its finest

Mr. EastGasXWest has some excellent advice here. Woe upon you if you do anything with the buyer and it is not face-to-face.

I send stuff to the not address all the time... Maybe I'm lucky?

Then again I have people gift payments 99% of the time

Same here :iagree: Most of my transactions are gift both buying and selling.

But I only do that with stand up members of the forum. If there is any hint of sketchiness, I make them pay the 3%, use the buy/sell mode and only ship to the address given in PayPal.

I also ask people to ship to a different address all the time (business or residence depending on the item), but I know I'm not going to screw them over. If the seller seems sketchy, I'll use buy/sell mode just to be sure I'm protected.

I was also going to say that I usually don't mind shipping to a different address because I have written back and forth with the buyer. PayPal should side with me as the seller

synolimit 07-19-2015 08:18 PM

edit, sold 8/20/14

Ok help me out. Wtf am I supposed to do about this????????

"The mid links you've sold me are for 350z, not 370z.

They look similar but are not the same.

Anyway, not cool man. I'm assuming shipping you these back for a refund would be like asking the world to change.

Cheers."

So I had the SPL mid links on my car for like 6 months maybe. Then I sold them like what seems to be about a year ago or close to it on here.. Today I get that message.

What is he talking about? They installed 100%. They fit 100%. There is zero issue with anything with the mid links. The springs could have been better with a 7" vs a 6" but that's not what he's talking about. They don't have part numbers stamped on them so there's no way I could tell even if this was true. But what's it matter? They worked perfect for me. This isn't my fault. Something seems fishy!

synolimit 07-19-2015 08:45 PM

1 Attachment(s)
They also fit where the adjusters are perfect and within spec. And even the 6" spring sat perfect where the height adjust was dead in the middle at the height I wanted which was equal to where a swift spec R spring sat. so really the 6" was perfect as the 7" spring would of had the height adjuster 1" lower and not in the middle of the arm.

NeverBoneStck 07-19-2015 10:39 PM

That's almost a year ago. Tell him to pound sand!

theDreamer 07-20-2015 10:47 AM

Ask him how he came to the conclusion of it being for a 350z & not a 370z, did he have a professional do the install or just some guys in his garage?

njobe89 07-20-2015 11:45 AM

i personally wouldn't refund it or anything. if it was a few weeks old or a month then yes, but a year, no way. if it worked fine on your car, no reason why it shouldn't work on his.
