Same here Most of my transactions are gift both buying and selling.

But I only do that with stand up members of the forum. If there is any hint of sketchiness, I make them pay the 3%, use the buy/sell mode and only ship to the address given in PayPal.

I also ask people to ship to a different address all the time (business or residence depending on the item), but I know I'm not going to screw them over. If the seller seems sketchy, I'll use buy/sell mode just to be sure I'm protected.

I was also going to say that I usually don't mind shipping to a different address because I have written back and forth with the buyer. PayPal should side with me as the seller

edit, sold 8/20/14

Ok help me out. Wtf am I supposed to do about this????????

"The mid links you've sold me are for 350z, not 370z.

They look similar but are not the same.

Anyway, not cool man. I'm assuming shipping you these back for a refund would be like asking the world to change.

Cheers."

So I had the SPL mid links on my car for like 6 months maybe. Then I sold them like what seems to be about a year ago or close to it on here.. Today I get that message.

What is he talking about? They installed 100%. They fit 100%. There is zero issue with anything with the mid links. The springs could have been better with a 7" vs a 6" but that's not what he's talking about. They don't have part numbers stamped on them so there's no way I could tell even if this was true. But what's it matter? They worked perfect for me. This isn't my fault. Something seems fishy!

They also fit where the adjusters are perfect and within spec. And even the 6" spring sat perfect where the height adjust was dead in the middle at the height I wanted which was equal to where a swift spec R spring sat. so really the 6" was perfect as the 7" spring would of had the height adjuster 1" lower and not in the middle of the arm.

No I'm not going to be rude. Install time might have just been difficult. But what I am saying is everything worked fine on my car so I don't get it. The only issue which wasn't an issue is when you want to be as low as the swift spec R's and you use a 6" spring in height, clearly with the car off the ground the arms gonna swing down and the spring will be loose. If you use a 7-8" spring and want to keep the same lowered ride height you'll have to screw the height adjuster down making the spring loose again or vice verse you raise the height adjuster preloading the spring but once on the ground you'll be to tall like oem height. Unless you get a shorter shock so the wheel can't fall away as far as the oem shock I don't see how this can be avoided. I think this is why he thinks it's a bad arm or wrong car. But again if the oem shock has a ton of travel and the SPL arm falls away from the car as the wheel lowers, the springs gonna get loose!! I mean look at swift here vs the 6" spring!

No brah. Both Specialty Z and SPL confirmed you sold him the wrong part

And it's more fun when you're acting yourself. Seeing you trying to play the nice guy is weird as ****

That's the best part.

Well, that and how long he rode around on the wrong parts with his head buried.

Not trying to dig up some skeletons in the closets but was he the one also involved with the alleged missing item in a delivery box?

The issue is you sold a 350Z part as a 370Z part. If the fuckin manufacturer confirmed the fact, then you have no argument. Just because you installed the wrong part on your car and it didn't fail spectacularly doesn't give you the right to sell that part to someone else as though it were the right part all along

If it was out of pure ignorance then you need to fuckin man up, at least acknowledge your fault, and quick trying to deny responsibility. And if you did it on purpose (I personally think you are more dumb than criminal), then you need to be booted from this forum asap. Although really, this is like three strikes too many and you should be banned either way

Ask him how he came to the conclusion of it being for a 350z & not a 370z, did he have a professional do the install or just some guys in his garage?

i personally wouldn't refund it or anything. if it was a few weeks old or a month then yes, but a year, no way. if it worked fine on your car, no reason why it shouldn't work on his.
