I dont know if I can justify spending close to $30k on a 370z when I can get the honda for under half the price and have just as much fun.

The removable hard top wasn't a popular option and may make it a bit of a collectable nowadays - ie, more expensive for no performance gain. Personally, I prefer the hard top but not enough that I'd pay a lot extra for it.

The S2K does get a little light above 120 MPH or so. Spoilers might be desirable if you plan on driving very fast. If you don't get much above the speed limit, they are just more drag.

Well the S2K isnt a very "fast" car in the first place, more of a quick, fun car. Unless you add a turbo then its fast haha. Same as the 350z.

btw, 5yrs ago the price difference between the cr and my 6mt base-sport was like $3K or so with the Z being more expensive.

honestly if i had a choice to buy a new CR or 370Z today, i would still take the Z over the CR... and im not a "NissanFan"

You are not any more. Now you are Mr. Kenchan.

The 6 months in the re-education camps did you well, comrade.

The S2k is a great car. I love driving my brother's. It's more of a "tossable" car like the frs/brz, but with a bit more hp. The engine is definitely pretty anemic though, especially in torque when you compare it with the 3.7l. I always redline my brother's s2k wondering when the power is supposed to kick in... I would honestly have had a hard time deciding between a new s2k and a new 370.

The 370 is definitely faster on a track, but the s2k is much more lively.

The convertible part of the s2k should be part of your decision. Driving that car with the top up is miserable. Multiply the 370's blind spot by like 3x.

the s2k engine is pretty reliable though, if you can manage to find one that wasn't owned by a ricer.
