There's no info above and beyond what's already on the Subaru website. There are two trim levels -- Premium and Limited. They said the Premium would be about 27K and the Limited about 30K. I think the Subaru is a bit more upscale than the Scion version -- HD radio, Nav, and Bluetooth are standard on both trim levels with the Sub. I ordered the Limited in Galaxie Blue with MT.

Tiny = light which is good. He said it was too small though = 911 back seat which is only for looks not actual use.

That's fine. I'm getting it for a DD -- mostly to work and back. Don't really need a lot of room.

I'm going to give the FR-S a shot but I have a feeling I'm probably not going to prefer it over the Mazda MX-5.

Performance numbers wise the BRZ and FR-S will be roughly equal to the MX-5's considering the power to weight ratios. (2500/170 : 2800/200)

I'm going to predict that the BRZ and FR-S will be slightly quicker beyond say 95-100 mph or ~ 1/4mile due to the 30 HP advantage though.

They'll likely be a bit quicker around the track as well due to less roll vs. the MX-5. After all coupe vs. convertible has some advantages.

However, with that said I still think the MX-5 will remain the more enjoyable car to drive for most. Also things like build quality and the fact that the MX-5 is a proven platform doesn't hurt either.

The 09' and up MX-5's have some really nice engine tweaks which improve durability (it's a very stout little 2.0l), and pulls strong all the way to it's 7400 cut-off and sounds great as well. The car feels much stronger than you'd think and feels plenty quick from behind the wheel.

Of course you don't buy a MX-5 for drag racing but the point is it's quick enough and is a blast to drive. But yeah the FR-S and BRZ appear to be promising so we'll see.

It's the same as the german cars. Much more convenient than you probably think. The one on my current car is cartridge style so you just pull out the unit and swap it out. It's very simple and really easy to get to up there. Not messy at all, similar to say pulling a dipstick, just watch the drips.

looks like MSRP for FR-S is 24,200 manual and 25,300 for the automatic
