You gotta read the article... I no that's not the next GTR but a toned down version of that car is what there using for inspiration.

I hope the next GT-R looks nothing like that 2020 Vision GT because that thing is hideous.

Because they are concepts... The body are usually experiments on shape-shifting, creasing lines and aerodynamics. Exotics usually cost so much because of the costly process of developing the chassis and body. Concepts try to achieve more advanced forms of design. After the concept...The sub-premium and premium companies find the most cost effective way to make a futuristic car possible... The inspiration is found in the concepts. Then the toned down pre-production model arrives
The engines.. well that goes without saying.

I see the GT-R getting a possible aesthetic change in the future (hopefully for the better) if the Toyota FT-1 becomes a true production car for the masses. I personally like the look of the FT-1 and love the sleek body lines with its curves and how it almost looks like it was formed to let wind pass through it. The GT-R on the other hand is a bit bulkier looking but none the less still an attractive car. When compared to the R34's R33's etc you can see where it gained some body bulk (thick girls need love too ) So I can see the GT-R maybe going a bit sleeker and thinner to keep up with the competition if there becomes any. Hopefully I can hit the lotto between now and then

It won't. Most sources say $50-75k and some say starting at $100k

Remember the LF-A? As a concept, it was s suppose to go into production as a sports car priced competitively with the GT-R. Turned out to be almost 4x the price, stil was slower and had an is250 interior at Ferrari prices.

As it stands right now, you have better chance of Hyundai coming out with a corvette competitor
