GM raising C7 prices..

They've also mentioned the high demand causing the car to only sit on lots for an average of 7 days, which is very low. Plus with spring/summer teasing parts of the country, it makes sense.

And yet it's still a bargain of a car for what you get.

Exactly. Supply/Demand in a capitalist system is controlled with cost. It's the 'Murican way, and what's more...it works.

They really need this car to be a huge success, too. While the previous gen Vette was pretty and quick, they need improved sales numbers from that gen.

Although, I read (possibly in Motor Trend or C&D) that Chevy is pulling all of it's normal models out of Europe, except for the Corvette, in the next few years.

The C6 was victim to an unpredictable economy.
