Unknown - I was contemplating a GTR also but here is why I went with the Vette: it's got a killer V8, if I were to buy a GTR it would have to be a 2011 or newer due to the upgraded tranny that you can actually launch and not void warranty which means you'd be looking to pay at least $80k, I wanted stick, I love light cars, I've always loved vettes and while stock it will pull harder on the highway than the GTR. And for half the price of a 2011+ it's a no brainer.

Makes a lot of sense... I just always been a boost addict. Vettes pull hard as hell though and its cheaper to maintain. I'm still about 18/24 months away from that decision though. We'll see? Thanks for your perspective.

you could of bought the PPG Heavy Duty 1st Gear Set and launched your GTR when and where ever. I think the GTR transmission problem was blown out of proportion.
