The new Camaros!

So has anyone stopped by the dealer to check out the new camaro's? I noticed that they are mark ups on those. What do you guys think of them?

4 years ago, i LOVED this car.

Nowadays, because how long they have been going on about it, movie appearances and pictures its time for a new generation... I'm sick of looking at this one.

P.S. I went to the dealer to drive one and couldn't fit in the car (6'4 200lbs)

Seen nine as of today, two in a parking lot so I got a little close. They are huge, not as big as a challenger though. Overall I am not overly impressed, mainly because I feel the car shows what GM use to be and what it clearly has not learned. It is a huge car, weighs a lot, and is having major issues already, guess not much has changed.

I disagree.

They look good from SOME angles. But other angles, they're fugly.

If HP is all I wanted, it'd be the ticket, but IMO, the Mustang has more looks, and the Challenger does the whole "throwback" thing better than the Camaro.

Dunno...

About 2 months ago I went to rally chev. to check them out. they had two of them roped off and said they were not for sale yet, they wouldnt even let me sit in them and said there will be a minium 5000 dealer markup. the interior from about 4 feet away dident look very refined. they said they had orders for the first year of the SS version but if I wanted a v6 they could get one in the next two to four months. they are huge and look pretty heavy.

Looks great from the front. Dissapointed with the interior... it really looks and feels like crap!

Can't get over the weight of the things and the early problems they are encountering, though.

Now, i HAD to have this car when I first saw it. I saw the concept at the DC auto show and almost did bad things in my pants I wanted it so bad. Then the transformers movie came out and I actually started putting money away to buy it. In the meantime i purchased a 350z. When they started selling the Camaro I couldn't find one and I had the man itch (that itch that you get when new cars are flooding the market and your ride no longer excites you) I gave myself 2 days to find a Camaro and all the dealers said no, so I walked into Nissan and traded the 350 for the 370. Since then I have only seen one Camaro, while I was on vacation in Vegas. You know one of the bigger difference between the two cars? A 370 looks bada$$ no matter what trim you buy it in, the camaro I saw was a base model, it was not at all impressive. That is when I was sure I had made the right decision. A fully decked out Camaro is certainly a fine looking automobile but I Z is sexy anyway you slice it.

Nice to look at, but the interior is not nice - the retro speedo is ugly, that alone was enough put me off even thinking about buying one. This was before I'd seen the 370 of course.

All Hate aside, this car is gorgeous, drives gorgeous, and is crazy fast. I love everything about it except price, but the Z had almost the same markup of around $39k as apposed to Camaro $42k this is an SS2 as well. These prices are in Arizona, since the Z's launch the mark ups have dropped and you can find them around at $32k. i expect the same with the Camaro.

I still favor the Z because of weight, track, and it's potential, but the Camaro is a good step for Chevy. Hope to see a Monte Carlo SS remake of the 80's
