Had a friend with a very nice Z28 of that year/style, LS1 H/C/I/T56 swap. 428hp to the rollers. Neat car.
Also know a guy with a '92 Fox 5.0 with $10K under the body. It will pull well over 1G on a pad, and felt more planted and responsive in the twisties than the S2000 I rode in through the same twisties. Just because it's old, doesn't mean it sucks!
