Deep Impact Blue!
I get horrible mileage out of my 370Z. About 27 on the highway. I am betting the mustang GT probably comes very close to that.

I don't know. I got 19-22 in my 505 hp Z06 mixed driving and 26 on the highway.

Pretty lame that a 332bhp motor doesn't do any better in a car of similar weight with lighter tires and driveline components and a lower drag coefficient.

That is one of my few sore points about my 370Z purchase. I expected mpg to be around 30 if I babied it on the freeway and 22-24 mixed.

You shoulda listened to us when we told you import. You had plenty of research for 2 years on that. You bought the Z anyway. Don't complain now.

It's a minor quibble. A foot-note, really. Quite pleased with the 370Z. If I could change anything, it would be the suspension and Nissan's silly 53/47 bias. It's horrible for a car this nice, otherwise.

Better be careful. Dissing the "perfectly balanced" Z is dangerous.

The good news is, the Z's balance is perfect for laps around a 200' skidpad at part throttle

53/47 is done that way so when you have 2 passengers of similar weight and the car is in motion. It will have 50/50 distribution when necessary. As when the car is under hard acceleration. Weight will transfer to 50/50 which is good coming out of turns.

Why do you find it silly?.

because the nissan story about why the distribution is good is a complete fabrication...it is just an excuse.

My 13 GT is an automatic. My drive to work is 40% surface street, 60% highway and I'm averaging 19.8 after 2700 miles.

Cool deal Chris!
