![]() The other alternative is using exotic materials, mainly carbon fibre. but that will price it right out of the market, unless honda is willing to eat up a huge loss on each car. Even then it still won't meet that weight target. The mp 4-12c also uses extensive carbon fibre structures in its frame, yet still weighs a bit over 3000 pounds.

well, if its gonna be Honda's finest after such a long time, i doubt if it will be priced lower than a GTR. at least not where i come from... Singapore.
should be looking at easily USD300k when it arrives here.. oh well, way out of my price range..

I see an Acura TSX because of the grill. Or a Cadillac CTS-V.
Then I see a Z06 because of the Spyder rims. (the car actually has a LOT of Z06 in it I think. Front and rear fenders as well as the sides) Oh wait...I'm just picking out ONE THING. Kindof like you all have done with the only thing similar--front fascia. Even that and the hood are way different. Sorry, I'm just not seeing R8. Roof-line. Front and rear fenders. Sides. Rear deck-lid orientation. Rake. I see a TON of differences. Last edited by ImportConvert; 01-02-2012 at 10:26 AM. |

I don't really get what you are missing. A guy was saying the car was underpowered relative to the GT-R and I asked if he really thought Honda would even get close to the GT-Rs power based on its history of under-powering most of its cars relative to everything else.

not necessarily a bad thing in my book. if it's primarily rwd with hybrid assist motors on each of the front wheels, that could be pretty cool assuming the tech operates seamlessly from the driver's perspective. Good mpg, good performance, cleaner etc is not a bad thing and all those things don't necessarily have to be mutually exclusive.
