The key point I am trying to make is that, aside from the name, Shelby is in no way associated with the GT500. Everyone seems to think it's just Shelby designing, developing, producing, and selling them through Ford dealerships. That's not true at all. It's all designed and built by Ford. They slap a Shelby badge on it for marketing purposes. That's it.
