Rear seat room is just fine for me. I didn't check what the dimensional changes were between the hatch and sedan.

It's like 2 " extra leg room. I'm like 6'2" and shorter than most of my friends, so it was a must.

well...i'm the tallest of my group, and i'm only 6 ft tall lol, so hatch was good enough for me

I don't buy cars based on whether or not my friends will fit in them.

I choose friends that will fit in my cars. If I trade my Mazda 6 in for something smaller, I'm gonna have to let a few of them go. But if I get an SUV, I can start being nice to taller and more rotund people.

yah, i purposely dont buy minivan/SUV just for this reason. i dont want people bugging me for rides (especially in-laws. :D )

One reason why im kinda iffy on a sti... EVERYONE would bug me for ride. haha
