Another tire question?...

Try the penny test, if you can see the top of Abe's head it's time to replace. You place the penny head down in the deep part of the primary

Try the penny test, if you can see the top of Abe's head it's time to replace.
You place the penny head down in the deep part of the primary tread marks,
test several areas.

If you want to be a little more precise you can try to pick up a tread depth
gauge at a tire shop like Firestone. Tires are required to be changed when
tread depth reaches 2/32".

It's not the tread I'm worried about, but the overall condition of the tires. I see all those cracks and I don't know if that's supposed to be normal wear and tear, or if the tire is now unsafe to drive on. See where I'm coming from?
