Import,

I actually looked at yours first, then checked out M4A1's. The difference I think was that you presented the video as a brash, in-your-face "Corvette uber-alles/ what now, Nissan GTR/ Suck it, b!tches" fire starter whereas M4A1's was more about recognizing the accomplishment of the 'Vette from a neutral, "car-enthusiast" standpoint. Which is cool, that's completely your call as how you put things out there, but it can make it a little awkward to comment on. Just how I see it, based on how your posts seem to trend.

Regardless, Jim Mero and the ZR1 deserve all the kudos, great use of the Sport Cups by Chevrolet, and Mero obviously has some big brass cajones. Excellent vid!

I think it was the title, but you nailed it. Nissan kicks out challenges (mainly to Porsche), but holding the title of fastest production 'Ring lap time opens you up to it, and I kicked it right to Nissan and their fans with my post.

King's to you, it's your move!

Competition is good. Everyone benefits from it who deserves to. Lets see Nissan/Porsche/Dodge (New Viper in '12)/Chevy and others keep throwing the gauntlet down!

If not for the tweaked porsches and gtr's out there, would Chevy have gone wild with the ZR1?

Again, I've never seen a video where a production vette could handle like that.

Tires make a difference, sure, but a lot of other things have to go right on the design of the car to get there.

Yes they do!

A lot of what you saw/admire is the PTM and the Magnetic suspension.

The PTM is very similar to Racelogic, and the Mag suspension has been leased to every other company that uses it because Porsche and Ferrari can't beat GM's design so they lease it/pay for it.

I'm impressed that GM is leasing that out. It means it's the best.

It's like Mitsubishi's Turbos, or Honda and Toyota's hybrid tech from a few years back, leased out for the benefit of others.

Same, and to be perfectly honest, I am butthurt that I didn't fork over the extra $9K to get it and the CB's in my car. If I had, I probably would not be lusting after a different ride in another year or so.
