I think the Japanese Manga mentioned over 8000 and not 9000. It was only the american version that said over 9000. So, in a way, it is Americanized.

Yeah maybe American cars from 15 years ago were outdated, crappy, and unreliable (obviously).

Nowadays, however, American cars (like the Mustang and many others) are just as reliable or even more reliable and affordable than their European/Japanese counterparts. Also the amount of performance you get from an American car will always trump over their imported compeition (dollar per dollar).

Anyone who disregards these realities are doing nothing but spreading ignorance. All the import fanboys that just can't believe that American cars can look, better handle better, get faster lap times, and make much more power for equal or lesser value, need to wake up and smell the 21st century.
