Ford did good with the 5.0 engine which they should never have gotten rid of but its not enough for me to wanna switch. They need a new model.

YM 2014 should see IRS and a lighter car. The 5.0 has all the provisions for DI to be incorporated.

The mustang is a muscle-car pretending to be a sports car today. I think the next model will be an honest sports car.

Muscle cars came about in an era where either you turned fast, or you accelerated fast. Doing both wasn't easily accomplished with the technology on hand regarding engines and suspension. Now days, a muscle-car is just a vehicle that the manufacturer scrimped on in the suspension/weight reduction R&D department.

ohh cant wait for a lighter IRS Direct injected 5.0!

Funny you say that about scrimping in the suspension category....you know what kind of springs your Z06 uses in the rear? :)

A little old school technology can work for a long time...

IRS suspensions tend to be heavier than a live axle, so they'd have to pull weight from other places just to even it out.

A little more flare on the rear quarters would look good.

There's easily some weight to lose on that car...but whether or not they'll do it, I dont know. For instance, the only way the new rumored Z28 would interest me is if it loses about 400+ lbs haha.
