Interesting .... So perhaps it's only their top end models that are built significantly better. In any event, from a marketing perspective a 69 - 72k Cayman doesn't make sense unless they are planning to drop the 911 ... and they tried that once already

Are you referring to the 928? That was a beast.

I mean, I completely agree that they know what they're doing from a business perspective. Again, it's working. But I think the Cayman could be tricked out to compete. I'd love to see it.

Of course, rumor has it that part of the reason the Fiero was killed was because it was stealing Corvette sales.

You laugh, but those things were silly fast for the money. flaming deathtraps though they were, it's still the only nameplate in GM history that was profitable every year they sold it.
