Very low-slung, very sporty, and very rare: Porsche launches a small edition of a new 911 Speedster. Paying homage to the first Porsche model that bore the name Speedster -- the 356 Speedster --, the production run for the new model is limited to 356 cars.
wow.. I'm in love! love the color, rims, kick plates, the rear engine area  :yum: .. I wish I could drive it!

Sorry, but Porsche bothers me with this. They annoy me with 20 different versions of the same model. They annoy me with the "limited run of 356" to make it a collector's car. And they annoy me by not making the Cayman a proper top-of-the-line sports car to match or even exceed the 911.

That said, I'll never afford a Porsche, and all of those things that I just listed make real 911 buyers shoot sperm in their pants and dollars into Germany.

Are there 14 2010 models or just 2 models with a total of 14 different trim levels? :)

As for they Cayman, if they upgraded the engine and transmission to 911 levels, it would cost as much as the 911 ... Couldn't the same thing be said of the 370z and the GTR? If the added performance brings the car out of the "entry level" class it hurts both models.

um...... the pistons and rods are the only difference that i'm aware of (at least it used to be before the carrera got direct injection with the 997.5 model). the transmissions are the same, just regeared with a taller 1st gear to make sure the caymanS isn't faster than the carrera 2. it wouldn't cost them any more to make the cayman faster, it's already got the chassis and brakes for it, porsche just holds it back. irregardless, the caymanS is still a performance bargain for the price, especially considering its one of the best cars you will ever drive... ever. it's that good, trust me :driving:

The word is that Porsche holds the Cayman back, but that it would actually be a better setup because the 911 has its iconic/outdated rear engine setup.
