They aren't all that heavy compared to similar cars and the weight distribution is pretty damn close to 50/50... FWIW I run 12.87 @ 110 stock.

Edit: Checked the specs on the SRT-8. Definitely BS. You've got at least 1,000 lbs on the 3600 lb 5.0, and only 8 hp more. That was a funny joke!

You just don't understand, he won by breaking the law......The law of physics, that is!

Ya for sure, anyone that says that the quality isn't there is smoking it pretty hard. It feels solid and well put together. Only thing I didn't like were the guages...seemed like old watches...but really in the big picture that aint ****

I hate the new Mustangs because they drastically slashed my car humor archives. Most of what I used to laugh about has been corrected, so other than pulling out the odd joke just to bother Steve, I'm at a loss. :(

I have to say I was really dissapointed. My Jeep is stock and weighs more... and is built to run from a dead stop. The problem with Mustangs are weight distribution and they are WAY too heavy. I would never consider buying one.... because there are already way too many of them out there.

:roflpuke2: the Camaro SS/Challenger/Charger SRT-8 cant keep pace with it, sounds like someones been hittin the peace pipe...

Well to be honest, it's a driver's race. Say for instance, the driver of the Jeep SRT-8 was in his or her car and the mustang driver was out of their car, buying a samitch or somethin'. The SRT-8 is gonna rule the road!

Or if they held the race in a foot of snow, the Jeep would win.

I was drinking a red bull whilst reading this and almost vomited on my keyboard, rep to you good sir.

Vegitto-kun 03-03-2011 02:16 PM

I love my Z and all but I have been thinking about test driving random cars.

for example going to a BMW dealership and test driving stuff like the Z4M/M3

or Audi with the S4 or something.

but then thats it. VW...nothing special, toyota nothing special, mazda nothing special and so on.

Red370 03-03-2011 02:19 PM

European manufacturers needs to take heed the fact that muscle cars are in high demand and come up with a high output, cost effective V8, plain and simple. An M5 would not be considered cost effective :)

Lol that will never happen here.

I mean the new genesis coupé wont come out here with the V6 because europe was being bitches about the engine being too polluting or something.

+ the cheap little cars sell HUEG numbers so selling true cars wont bring a decent profit.

you know what is kinda sad? I said stuff like M3 but then again I totally would love to test drive a megane coupe RS.

Red370 03-03-2011 02:36 PM

ahh, to think, my gas guzzling, global warming causing beast will be gracing the streets of Europe in less than 6 months...

you better come grace my driveway :stirthepot:

I still am wondering what would of happened if I actually bought a megane RS instead of the Z.

as far as I know there is barely any tuning scene for it.

Red370 03-03-2011 02:48 PM

It definitely will. It kinda looks like the new Honda CRX, you made the right choice with the Z, way better looking.

Vegitto-kun 03-03-2011 02:56 PM

Eh it does, just looked it up, doesn't look anything like the megane.

I do think the Z looks better but not by a huge margin

this was what I wanted though I don't think its the same shade of yellow. I remember it being like pearl white but yellow so....pearl yellow?

http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/1...ganers2503.jpg

you have to admit the center single exhaust is niiiice.

so we saw that at a car event

went to our renault dealership and asked for a full option cup version in that color.

their answer: sorry renault doesn't make the car in that color. the twingo RS and Clio RS have that color as option but the megane gets painted somewhere else so they don't have that color.

that pissed me and my dad off so we went to nissan to look at a 350Z they had. red one with persimmon interior.

ended up with the 370z

Red370 03-03-2011 03:00 PM

from what i've been told from my German friends, I could sell my 5.0 in Germany for twice what its worth because the demand is so high, I could buy two of those Meganes for that, hmm....

Vegitto-kun 03-03-2011 03:03 PM

yup. that is a fact.

but I doubt you will since you will feel all happy driving such a exclusive car.

Red370 03-03-2011 03:09 PM

well to be honest, if my old lady comes with me and decides she wants to start a family, I might end up having to get rid of it for something more economical, so who knows. Shit happens sometimes.

Red370 03-03-2011 03:11 PM

I'm looking forward to seeing how pissed off the Polizei get when I come screaming past them on the autobahn.

Vegitto-kun 03-03-2011 03:17 PM

it would also be a logical upgrade.

my upgrade went

1.6 diesel 4cyl - 1.9 diesel 4 cyl - 3.7 6 cyl

next step is 5.0 8 cyl

scary to think whats after that

6ish 10 cyl? :roflpuke2:

It had 5.0 badges on it. I will admit Mustang drivers are like rivers, they do really cool things sometimes to make them faster by debadging their cars or even adding new badges to them. So whatever. I know what happened and will be looking forward to racing another. I'm sure the results will be different this time though since after only a few days this thread has 64 pages of crap about the Mustang. You guys are really sweating the Mustang. From what I have seen from the 370z it's obvious why. :nutswinger:

One more thing to mention is not everyone can drive a car. Maybe some of you and the Mustang owner need to take a few driving schools. You can have a much faster car but if you can't shift your going to loose. Enjoy the rest of your thread ladies.

Awww did your ego get hurt when people realised your ********? :stirthepot:

your truck cant beat a 5.0 simple as that. well I guess it can win if the mustang driver stalls.

I can also go "HOLY **** I BEAT A GT-R" and it turned out the guy was hitting the brake instead of the throttle.

I decided that I'm not going to get the Boss 302... instead I'm going to get a Jeep SRT8! I heard it's faster in the quarter than a Space Shuttle (yes, in space)! This guy named "HTP AutoWorks" raced one the other day, and he won by at least 2 or 3 shuttle lengths.

From a 60 roll, if you're Jeep walked away, the Mustang was probably either in neutral or not hitting the gas. Having driven the Jeep, and knowing it's a car with a sub 5 second 0-60, but barely traps over 100 mph, you've got nothing in a highway pull.

Considering a highway pull in the 5.0 consists of dropping a gear or two, walking away, and reverting to normal, I don't think driving is gonna be much of a factor. From a dig, sure. Not from a roll though.

But, while we are telling stories, I thought you'd like to hear about the E46 M3 I smoked while driving my EJ8. It's a riveting tale, and almost as believable.

......Because the Jeep SRT-8 is THE choice of most good driving schools.
