Porsche is an SUV company - more than 50% sales come from Macan/Cayenne. To me, this is a GOOD thing, because it allows them money to build the 911 without just re-badging VW / Audi parts and changing the body panels up. Although I agree it would be nice to see a new Z. But naturally aspirated, with an available manual transmission and at a reasonable price. For the expected sales volumes such a car would generate, it's not very likely. Current Z is still a good alternative in its market. Could use a refresh, and more torque. Maybe a weight-loss diet. But it does look unique and good, and performs pretty much as it says on the tin. |
