2020 Supra... first thoughts

You simply can't get much for under $50K these days. Think about it.....a BASE 911 is over $100K.

I know the supra was intended to compete with Cayman crowd but New Cayman GTS is right at $100K. Not to mention it has a 4 banger with a turbo.

I would hope the Supra gets a turbo or 2 like most BMW's. Maybe in a couple years?

Get the HP up to 450 area and it would be respectable, I think.

Prob bump the price up to $70K mark, damn it.

I think the crowd where it will sell is with those that want a factory turbo'd car that is simular to the Z. Looking forward to see what the production models end up doing : Performance / Sales wise.

The inline six IS twin turbo. The inline four is single turbo. But you're exactly right, for $50k, the Supra is a hell of a deal. People seemed to forget a base anything is almost $30k now.

A new Nismo is $45k+ and a dinosaur. The Supra isn't much more and has all the modern niceties while still being a focused sports car. I get that we're on a Z forum, but people on here seem to forget all the cheap **** that Nissan puts into the Z and refuses to update.
